The Suffering of Palestinians: Whose responsibility? By Ali al-Hail Al-Jazeerah, CCUN, November 29, 2010
According to the united Nations, During 2010, }more than} 55 Palestinians were killed by Israeli occupation forces, including }more than} 22 civilians. The UN has put the injured at over 200, within the same period. The UN's loss toll, had apparently, been accounted to Gaza alone. 2010, has also, seen the killing of more than 5 Palestinians, and many more, had been wounded, throughout various areas of the occupied West Bank, and the occupied East Jerusalem. Other forms of Israeli occupation forces' harsh treatments, of Palestinians, including peace activists, local and international, in different Palestinian occupied lands, such as, evicting Palestinians from their East Jerusalem's homes, demolishing their homes, unwarranted arrests, tortures, deliberately, delaying people at checking points, insulting people, in many ways, etc. have systematically, been carried out by Israeli occupying forces, under the sight and hearing of the 'International Community', whatever this notion means. Additionally, during the same year, none of Israelis had been killed, or injured by what Israel keeps calling them rockets, or missiles from Gaza. Only, a tie farmer, was working in an illegal Israeli land grabbed settlement, adjacent to Gaza, had been killed, nearly, 18 months ago. Ordinary U.S. , and European citizens, whose governments, support 'Israel' right to defend itself i.e. Israel's right to kill Palestinians, ought to know (if not must) that, their governments, with varying degrees, should be held responsible for the many forms of Palestinians' suffering, and hence, as taxes payers, its more or less, their responsibility.
