Wikileaks, Wikileaked, What?

By Ali Al-Hail

Al-Jazeerah, CCUN, November 2, 2010

Whether, is "Wikileaks", independent or not, remains controversial.  According to John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt, in their landmark book: " The Israeli Lobby And US Foreign Policy", the 'Israeli Lobby' has long, been in charge of making decisions, for US foreign policy, regarding the Middle East.

Many other US writers even went further than that.  They talk about Israeli lobby's involvements into almost entirely, ever single senior recruitment, which range from the president's nomination down to judges' appointments, local councils' assignments…etc.

As a result, would Wikileaks' Iraqi leaks, be included in Israeli Lobby's Middle Eastern decision making power?  In other words, had "Wikileaks" acquired Israeli Lobby's approval, to 'leak' 'Iraqi leaks'?

It seems it would have to.  Many argue that, "Wikileaks" is by no means different from other tools of  'Israeli Lobby' (e.g., the Security Council, International law, International tribunal Criminal Court, International Community, QUARTET..etc.)

However, "Wikileaks",  had hardly, leaked any unusual data on Iraq, as, what it had allegedly, 'leaked' has long, been quite known. Albeit,  the supposedly,  leaked materials  showed that, the 'Israeli Lobby' , which one presumes, as do many,  pushed the Bush administration, into invasion and subsequently, into  war on Iraq, is no longer interested in staying in Iraq, since it had apparently,  achieved its goals.
