Israeli Occupation Apartheid Regime Soldiers Injure Scores of Palestinians, Abduct 12 Policemen and Dozens of Civilians

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of David, Solomon, and Solomon's son).

 After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Shoot Two Palestinian Children In Hebron And Jerusalem

Israeli occupation soldiers shot, on Sunday evening, two children in separate invasions into Palestinian communities in Hebron and Jerusalem, in the occupied West Bank, the WAFA Palestinian News Agency has reported.

WAFA said the soldiers invaded the Al-Taher area, south of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, and fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades at Palestinian protesters.

Media sources said a child, 16 years of age, was shot with a live round in his leg, before he was moved to a hospital in Hebron, suffering moderate wounds.

Many Palestinians suffered the severe effects of teargas inhalation before the medics provided them with the needed treatment.

The protests took place near the illegal Karmie Tzur colony, which was built on stolen Palestinian lands.

Furthermore, the soldiers invaded Hizma town, northeast of occupied East Jerusalem, and attacked protesters, wounding one child.

Eyewitnesses said the child was shot with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the head, in the eastern part of the town before he was rushed to a hospital.

Four Palestinians Shot, Injured by Israeli Occupation Soldiers in Kufur Qaddoum

A number of Palestinian civilians were shot and injured, Saturday, including four who were shot with rubber-coated steal rounds, when Israeli occupation soldiers suppressed the weekly anti-settlement demonstration in the northern occupied West Bank village of Kufur Qaddoum, east of Qalqilia city.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that Israeli soldiers fired rubber-coated steal bullets and tear-gas canisters at the protesters, striking four activists who were transferred to hospital.

Dozens more suffered the toxic effects of tear-gas inhalation.

The Palestinian villagers of Kufur Qaddoum and surrounding area have held demonstrations every Friday and Saturday since 2003, to demand that Israeli authorities reopen the road it closed to Palestinians in order to serve the illegal Israeli settlers.

On Friday, a number of protestors were injured by Israeli fired rubber-coated steel rounds and tear-gas canisters.

Fifteen Palestinians Injured Israeli Occupation Soldiers at Weekly Kufur Qaddoum March

Fifteen Palestinian civilians were injured by Israeli occupation soldiers, Friday during the weekly protest against Israeli settlements, which has been held every week in Kufur Qaddoum village, east of Qalqilia in the northern West Bank, according to local sources.

Morad Eshteiwi, coordinator of the popular resistance in Kufur Qaddoum, told Palestinian WAFA News Agency that Israeli soldiers opened fire at demonstrators with rubber-coated steel rounds and tear-gas canisters, injuring fifteen of them, while causing many to suffer the toxic effects of tear-gas inhalation.

Four injured civilians were transferred to hospital, and others were treated on site by local medics.

Villagers from Kufur Qaddoum and neighboring villages have been demonstrating every Friday to express their opposition to illegal Israeli settlements, and to demand Israeli authorities to reopen the village’s main road, which the army sealed off in 2002. 

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Abduct Twelve Palestinian Policemen Near Ramallah

Israeli occupation soldiers invaded, on Saturday evening, the village of Ni’lin, west of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and abducted twelve Palestinian on-duty police officers, in addition to confiscating their vehicles and weapons.

The Mayor of Ni’lin, Emad al-Khawaja, stated that the Palestinian police officers were on a mission to apprehend a resident, wanted by the police over criminal charges.

He added that Israeli soldiers invaded an area near where the Palestinian police officers were operating and ambushed them while heading back to Ramallah.

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army and the police have been preventing the Palestinian police from entering any Palestinian community in Area C of the occupied West Bank, since the Palestinian Authority stopped all forms of coordination with Israel on May 9th.

Area C constitutes 60% of occupied West Bank lands that fall under Israel’s sovereignty, according to the Oslo agreement, which was signed in 1993, between the Palestinian Liberation Organization and the Israeli occupation.

The Oslo agreement split the occupied  West Bank into three regions; ‘Area A’, theoretically under autonomous Palestinian control and consisting of 17.7% of the overall size of the West Bank, yet constantly invaded by the soldiers, ‘Area B’, 21%, and under shared Israeli-PA control where the Palestinian have some form of administrative and civil authority, and ‘Area C’, the largest section of West Bank, falling under complete Israeli control.

These arrangements were supposed to be ending in the year 1999 when the “final status” negotiations between Israel and the PA were supposed to be concluded and a comprehensive “peace agreement” was to be signed.

However, since Israel’s takeover of the Palestinian lands continued, and its construction and expansion of its illegal colonies seriously escalated, Area C remained under full Israeli control, and the anticipated “final status agreement became just a status quo.

This continued to happen while Israel escalated the demolition of homes and property in Area C, in addition to refusing to grant the Palestinian construction permits, in addition to its escalating confiscation of Palestinian lands for the construction and expansion of its illegal colonies, in addition to its military centers and training grounds / firing zones for the soldiers.  

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Abduct Thirteen Palestinians In West Bank

Israeli occupation soldiers abducted, on Sunday at dawn, thirteen Palestinians from their homes, in several parts of the occupied West Bank, after the army invaded and ransacked many homes and property, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported.

The PPS said the soldiers abducted eight Palestinians from their homes in Silwad town, northeast of Ramallah, in central West Bank.

They have been identified as Mohannad Samir Hammad, Hanthala Samir Hammad, Mohammad Monir Hammad, Sarhan Akram Hammad, Adel Maher Hammad, Mo’men Haroun Ayyad, Emad Naim Ayyad, and Chavez Hasan Hammad, all between the ages of 19 and 22.

Furthermore, the soldiers abducted Ali Yousef Taqatqa, 20, and a former political prisoner, identified as Adel Abu Yacoub Deeriyya, 27, from Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem.

The soldiers also abducted Ahmad Haitham Mahmoud and Luay Mahmoud, from their homes in the al-‘Isawiya town, in occupied Jerusalem.

In Hebron, in southern West Bank, the soldiers abducted a young man, identified as Montaser Ajlouni, 22.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Detain Palestinian Youths, Hamas Members

Israeli occupation soldiers detained a Palestinian youth in Hebron city, on Saturday morning, in the southern West Bank and placed road barriers in several places, the Palestinian Information Center reported.

Local sources said that Israeli occupation soldiers stormed and searched the home of Samih Qufaishe, 21, and detained him from Um al-Daliya suburb in Hebron city.

Israeli occupation troops detained two Palestinian youths, on Friday evening, west of Bethlehem city in the central West Bank, the Palestinian Information Center reported.

Local sources reported that Israeli soldiers detained the two youths, Saif Nader Ibrahim and Wadih Qasim Shaheen, in Beit Jala, taking them to an unknown destination.

A senior Hamas official, Hasan Yousef, 64, was detained by Israeli occupation soldiers, on Friday, from his home near Ramallah city in the central West Bank, the PIC reported.

Local sources said that Israeli soldiers stormed Beitunia town and raided Yousef’s home, before taking him prisoner.

Yousef is a former prisoner, having spent nearly 21 years in Israeli jails, mostly under administrative detention.

The Hamas official also suffers from a number of chronic health problems, including high blood pressure and diabetes, requiring specialized medical care.

Soldiers additionally detained Maher al-Qadi from his home in Beitunia town and his nephew, Nour al-Qadi from his home in al-Bireh city.

The Israeli troops stormed Zububa village in western Jenin, in the northern West Bank, on Thursday night, and detained two youths, identified as Ahmed Jamil Atatira and Zaid Osama Atatira.

PCHR Weekly Report: Israeli Human Rights Violations in the Occupied Palestinian Territory

Summary for September 24 – 30, 2020

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued to commit crimes and multi-faceted violations against Palestinian civilians and their properties, including raids into Palestinian cities that are characterized with excessive use of force, assault, abuse and attacks on civilians. This week, IOF attacks rendered 9 Palestinian civilians wounded in excessive use of force, including a child and a journalist in the West Bank. IOF also continued its policy of demolishing and destroying Palestinian houses and facilities for its settlement expansion schemes.

In another evidence of the systematic Israeli policy against press crews, and Palestinian and international media agencies operating in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt), IOF confiscated Palestine TV vehicle and handed its driver a confiscation warrant, under the pretext that the vehicle and Palestine TV its staff were present in a closed military zone in Jordan Valley, east of Tubas, to obstruct their work and prevent them from revealing the truth about Israeli violations. PCHR considers these violations part of a well-planned scheme to isolate the oPt from the rest of the world and to eliminate stories about IOF crimes against Palestinian civilians in the oPt.

This week, PCHR documented 35 violations of international human rights law and international humanitarian law (IHL) by IOF and settlers in the oPt. It should be noted that the limitations due to the corona virus pandemic, has limited PCHR’s fieldworkers mobility and ability to conduct field documentation; therefore, the information contained in this report is only part of the continued IOF violations.

IOF shooting and violation of right to bodily integrity: 9 civilians wounded in IOF excessive use of force in the West Bank; 11 were wounded in IOF suppression of two peaceful protests in Kufur Qaddoum in Qalqilia; 2 others in Ramallah; 3, including a journalist, in Nablus; and a child in Hebron.

In the Gaza Strip, 2 IOF shootings were reported at agricultural lands and twice at fishing boats eastern and western Gaza Strip. Israeli naval forces drowned and damaged 3 Palestinian boats.

IOF incursions and arrests of Palestinian civilians: IOF carried out 62 incursions into the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem. Those incursions included raids of civilian houses and shootings, enticing fear among civilians, and attacking many of them. During this week’s incursions, 49 Palestinians were arrested, including 7 children, a woman and a person with disability. In Gaza, IOF conducted a limited incursion into eastern Rafah.

Demolitions:

PCHR documented 9 violations, including:

Bethlehem: 3 residential tents and 5 barracks demolished; 3 dunams razed;

Hebron: 3 houses served cease-construction notices, concrete pump and cement mixer confiscated; and 2 houses (built of bricks and tin-plates) demolished;

Tubas: 1639 square meters confiscated; 2 houses demolished in the Northern Valley; and 2 cars confiscated, including Palestine TV’s car.

Nablus: tin-plated barracks demolished;

Jericho: barracks demolished.

Settler-attacks: PCHR fieldworkers documented 2 attacks: 50 Perennial olive trees burned, southern Bethlehem; and two poultry farms assaulted with stones and sharp tool, one in Nablus.

Israeli closure policy and restrictions on freedom of movement: Meanwhile, the Gaza Strip still suffers the worst closure in the history of the Israeli occupation of the oPt as it has entered the 14th consecutive year, without any improvement to the movement of persons and goods, humanitarian conditions and bearing catastrophic consequences on all aspects of life.

Also, internal restrictions continued in the Gaza Strip for the fifth consecutive week to contain the outbreak of coronavirus, after coronavirus cases were confirmed outside the quarantine centers in the Gaza Strip. As a result, the suffering of Gaza Strip population has increased especially in terms of health and the economy.

Meanwhile, IOF continued to divide the West Bank into separate cantons with key roads blocked by the Israeli occupation since the Second Intifada and with temporary and permanent checkpoints, where civilian movement is restricted, and they are subject to arrest.

I. IOF Shooting and Violation of Right to Life and Bodily Integrity:

At approximately 00:00 on Thursday, 24 September 2020, IOF stationed near Tal al-‘Asur street adjacent to the entrance of Kafr Malek village, west of Ramallah governorate, opened fire at a Palestinian vehicle while entering the above-mentioned village. As a result, Mahmoud Farouq Ba’irat (18), was hit with a live bullet to his leg; and Jehad Fahed Ba’irat (19), was hit with a live bullet in his shoulder. Meanwhile, IOF prevented the access of the Palestinian Red Crescent’s medical personnel to the scene and took the two injured Palestinians to an Israeli hospital. IOF called the families of both Mahmoud and Jihad Ba’irat and informed them that their sons went into surgery at “Shaare Zedek” Medical Center in Israel. They told them that their health was stable, and that their detention was extended pending investigation, claiming that they threw Molotov cocktails at IOF.
