Fourth attack in less than a week... Al-Houthi announces destruction of a runway at Abha Airport in Asir

Al-Houthi group said it launched a new attack on Monday morning, targeting the runway of Abha International Airport in Asir province, south of Saudi Arabia.

According to Al-Masirah  Houthi-speaking channel in Yemen, the traffic was stopped at the airport, and a spokesman for the Houthi forces, Yahya Suraia’, said that the attack of the K2 Qasif drones , which targeted the runway , achieved its goal and "the operation was successful thanks to God."

As the Houthis vowed to continue their attacks on Saudi Arabia's airports and installations, Saudi Arabia and the Arab coalition that led it in Yemen did not comment on the recent Houthis ' announcement of an attack on Abha airport.

The attack was the fourth of the al-Houthi group on Abha airport in less than a week, when the group announced Wednesday, used a winged cruise missile, the kingdom announced the injury of 26 civilians, followed by an aerial attack on Friday, with a number of 2K drones on the same airport, Saturday, they attacked the same airport and  targeted the fuel station in it.

Earlier yesterday, the Arab coalition announced the interception of drones and the failure of offensive attempts targeting a civilian facility in the south of the Kingdom, confirming that its planes carried out raids on targets of the Houthis in several areas including a storage of drones, according to Saudi Arabia Al-Arabyah channel.

Shabwah: Three government forces injured in clashes with UAE-backed gunmen

Three members of the government forces were injured in clashes Monday morning with the so-called Southern resistance of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council in Al-Marwaha area in Jardan directorate northwest Shabwah.

Armed militias affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council have positioned themselves in Al-Marwaha area of Jardan district in an attempt to control the pipeline, a source told Al-Masdar online.

The source indicated that the armed groups refused to leave the scene after sending tribal mediations yesterday, which triggered clashes between the two sides.

The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council is seeking to control oil sites and lines, as the Southern Transitional Council has set up a number of camps near oil sites and facilities.

U.S. blames Iran for helping Houthi rebels shoot down drone in Yemen

Houthi rebels in Yemen recently shot down a U.S. government-operated drone with assistance from Iran, the U.S. military said in a statement on Sunday.

Lt. Col. Earl Brown, a spokesman for the U.S. Central Command, said the altitude at which the MQ-9 drone was shot down on June 6 marked “an improvement over previous Houthi capability,” a fact that led the military to conclude the rebel group had help from Iran.

Brown also noted that on June 13, Iran separately tried to shoot down yet another U.S. drone over the Gulf of Oman in an effort to disrupt surveillance of Iran’s attack on Kokuka Courageous, one of two oil tankers attacked on Thursday.

U.S. officials have blamed Tehran for those attacks, raising fears about a potential confrontation between the United States and Iran.

Coalition raids on Hajjah, Sanaa, and Houthi talks about civilian casualties

The Arab coalition planes, last night and early Sunday, stepped up raids on suspected Houthi camps and sites in the capital Sana'a and areas in Sa'dah and Hajjah governorates, north and northwest of Yemen.

The air raids  targeted on Sunday morning, Al-Daylami airbase (north of Sana'a) and the Aviation College at 60 Street (west of Sana'a).

According to the Saudi Al-Arabiyah Channel, coalition fighters destroyed a headquarters for the storage of drones in the capital Sana'a, without mentioning details of the location of the store.

The Coalition planes targeted rocket launchers and weapons depots at the director of Abbs and Mastaba in Hajjah province.

According to the Saudi news channel, the fighters destroyed a missile platform and weapons stores in the Beni Hassan area in the Directorate of Abbs, while targeted two vehicles in Mastaba Directorate, killing a number of militiamen and destroying reinforcements.

The Houthis, however, spoke of civilian casualties in the shelling which targeted Abbs in western Hajjah province.

The Al-Masirah channel said that coalition warplanes bombed a house in the coastal Al-Jar area west of Abbs, killing three children and one woman and injuring others.

The Coalition planes flew continuously on the capital Sana'a and several areas north of Yemen, according to local residents said to "Al-Masdar online ".

At dawn, the fighters launched raids on border posts west of Sa'dah, off Jazan, and the raids targeted reinforcements on Ketaf line in the east of the province, eyewitnesses said.

The escalation of the raids, after the interception of the Arab Alliance air defense, yesterday, several Houthis drones targeting the airports of Abha, Najran and Jizan.

Last week, the Houthis fired a cruise missile at the arrival hall in Abha Airport, injuring 26 people and the attack was widely condemned by the United Nations and the Arab and Western countries.

Houthi launches 5 Qasif drones towards the kingdom's airports

The Saudi-led  coalition in Yemen announced the interception and shooting down of a drone launched by the Houthis in the direction of "Abha " in the Southern kingdom on Saturday evening.

In a statement quoted by the Saudi Press Agency, coalition forces spokesman Col. Turki al-Maliki said that what he termed "the Houthi terrorist criminal tool attempts to target civilian installations and civilian objects in desperate and repeated attempts, without achieving any of their objectives or Irresponsible hostile actions ".

Houthis al-Masirah channel announced that the group's Air force carried out offensive operations with drones on Abha and Jizan airports.

The channel quoted a military spokesman for the Houthis as saying that the "first operation of the Air Force was directed to the control rooms of unmanned aerial planes at Jazan airport", while the second operation targeted "the fuel station at Abha International Airport with a number of Qasif 2k drones ".

The spokesman claimed that the two operations "hit their targets with high accuracy, which led to the departure of the two airports from service."

On Wednesday, al-Houthi militias targeted Abha airport with a missile in the attack, which the Coalition said it killed 26 civilians.

Human Rights Watch (HRW) on Saturday condemned the Houthis ' targeting of Abha airport, describing the operation as a "clear war crime."
