Dozens of Houthis killed, wounded and seven captured since their attack on Hajur tribes

More than 10 militants of the al-Houthi group have been killed and seven others captured since their attack on the sites of the Hajur tribes in Kesher district in the northwestern province of Hajjah, a field source said on Sunday.

The Houthis began a violent attack on the tribal positions in the district of Kesher since yesterday evening, and fierce fighting erupted between the two sides, which is still going on until the moment, the source told Al-Masdar online.

He said the fierce fighting between the two sides has, to date, resulted in the killing of more than 10 Houthi gunmen and the wounding of scores, in addition to the capturing of seven militants.

"In the hours of the night, five Houthis were captured and two were captured in the morning hours," he said.

He said that the losses on the part of the tribesmen were limited by the killing of one of the tribesmen, Abdallah Ali Zuber Riban, and two injured, at a time when no party had made progress on the ground.

The militants repelled Houthis attack after the Saudi Arabian coalition fighters launched raids on a number of al-Houthi positions, including a raid on a site and a 23-caliber cannon in the Al-mandela area.

Houthi rebels violate the ceasefire agreement in Hodeidah 1062 times, killing 72 civilians and injuring 469

According to the state news agency Saba, militants of the al-Houthi group have violated the ceasefire agreement in Hodeidah, 1062 times, since the agreement came into effect on Dec 18th.

The monitoring reports reported that those violations resulted in the death of 72 civilians and the wounding of 469 others.

The reports confirmed that the Houthi violations continued with various types of weapons and targeted the homes of citizens, public places and positions of government forces.

"In the past few hours, the Houthi militia bombed the mills used by the United Nations in clear and reckless defiance of the international community," it said.

An explosion is heard in Sanaa, Coalition announces the targeting of a storage site of drones

Residents in Sanaa told Al-Masdar online that they heard, early in the dawn of Saturday, an explosion from the north of the city without hearing the sound of fighter jets.

The source did not get any details from confirmed sources about the location of the blast, but at the same time, Saudi media reported on an operation to target a site of storage and equipping of drones and launch vehicles in Sanaa.

In the brief news published on the news channel on Twitter, it said that the coalition carried out a targeting operation in Sanaa and asked civilians not to approach the target site for the sake of their safety.

Morocco freezes involvement in Saudi-led coalition in Yemen

Government officials say Morocco has stopped taking part in military action with the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen’s war and has recalled its ambassador to Saudi Arabia.

Tensions have been mounting between Morocco and Saudi Arabia, amid international concerns about Saudi actions in the Yemen war and other issues.

A Moroccan government official said Thursday that Morocco no longer takes part in military interventions or ministerial meetings in the Saudi-led coalition.

The official didn’t elaborate. Morocco’s government has not divulged details of its military’s participation in the coalition, which has been at war in Yemen against Iran-aligned Houthi rebels since 2015. The war has killed thousands and displaced over 3 million people.

Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita said in an interview last month with Qatar-based broadcaster Al-Jazeera that Morocco’s participation in Yemen had “changed.”

Bourita also hinted that Rabat had serious reservations about Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s recent tour of other Arab countries, amid international condemnation of the killing of Saudi writer Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi Embassy in Istanbul. According to one of the sources, Morocco declined to host the Saudi crown prince in an unusual snub, citing the Moroccan king’s “busy agenda.”

After Bourita’s interview, Saudi television channel Al-Arabiya aired a documentary on disputed Western Sahara, supporting claims that Morocco invaded it after Spanish colonizers left in 1975. Morocco considers Western Sahara its southern territories.

Morocco recalled its ambassador to Saudi Arabia for consultations after the report aired, according to another Moroccan government official.

Both government officials spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the diplomatic tensions.

Morocco’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Mustapha Mansouri, remains in the Moroccan capital Rabat but did not respond Thursday to requests for comment.

How does the Yemenis react after the Saudi-led coalition kills, injures about 4,000 Yemeni childern?

Yemeni army forces carried out heavy clashes with the Saudi-led coalition, backed by the US, after the Health Minsitry announced the toll of Yemeni childern victims.

The official spokesman the Yemeni army forces Yahya Sarei on Friday announced that launched large-scale attacks on sites of paid fighters loyal to coalition in the east part Jabal al-Nar in front of Jizan, securing 20 sites.

He confirmed that dozens of the paid fighters were killed and injured in the attacks, which took place in front of Hardh district of Jizan sector and several pieces of equipment in the coalition’s ranks were destroyed.

Almasirah TV revealed the statistics for the Anti-Armor Unit of the Yemeni army forces operations for the month of January. 91 operations targeted gatherings and machinery of the coalition’s paid fighters. The Anti-Armor Unit targeted 56 gatherings of the coalition’s paid fighters in different frontlines, killing and injuring a number of them. The Anti-Armor Unit destroyed 8 tanks, 10 armored vehicles, 4 military bulldozers and 13 different machinery in several frontlines.

Colonel Ahmed Abu Hadi, commander of the First Division of the pro-Hadi Special Forces Brigade, was killed along with dozens of Hadi loyalists on Thursday as Yemeni army forces launched a surprise attack east of Harad district in Hajjah province.

Yemeni Health Minister Taha al-Mutawakil, for its part, said in a press conference on Thursday evening that the coalition airstrikes have been killing over 3,000 children and wounding 263 others, including 615 disabled since 2015.

A Moroccan government official said Thursday that Morocco no longer takes part in military interventions or ministerial meetings in the Saudi-led coalition.

Last year, Morocco pledged to pull its warplanes out of the Saudi war, citing a need for military buildup at home.

While, the head of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, Mohamed Ali al-Houthi, on Friday called on the United Nations and international organizations to save the lives of the conjoined twins, considering this as the core of their humanitarian and relief duty,and helding the United Nations and the organizations responsible in case they do not help the conjoined twins and the U.S. and the Saudi-led coalition responsible for the air embargo and blockade.

Local residents of Al Duhi district in Hodeidah province, western Yemen have staged on Friday a tribal rally to back the Yemeni army in defending the homeland against the coalition and its paid fighters,whereas the participants delivered many speeches expressing the readiness for any military escalation by the coalition, affirming to continue in support the fronts with men and money till victory is gained,and praising the great sacrifices made by the army in defending the homeland and its sovereignty.

Southern Yemen: Violence in Aden, southern Yemen, under the control of UAE

Assassinations, security disorder and torture operation have been ramping in Aden since United Arab Emirates forces took over the city.

Fierce clashes broke out on Friday between the coalition rival paid fighters in Aden province, southern Yemen,under the control of UAE, whereas the clashes broke out the central city of al-Mansoura.

The confrontations are believed to be between armed elements loyal to Alalmihdar backed by the exiled Hadi and the gunmen of Abdul Ghani Alsubahi, backed by the UAE forces. The clashes came a few days after clashes erupted between the so-called “Alalmihdar brigade’s troops” and gunmen loyal to Alsubahi which caused injuries of both sides.

Dozens of Yemeni detainees families on Thursday rallied to protest against interior minister of Saudi-backed exiled Hadi’s government Nasser al-Akhsha Lakhma, in the same city, demanding to release their sons in the secret prisons run by UAE occupation forces in Aden.During the rally,theycondemned the war crimes and violations against the detainees in the jails run by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and raised the banners and slogans and pictures showing torture again the detainees by UAE-backed paid fighters.

In March 2015, the US -backed –Saudi-led coalition started  a war against Yemen with the declared aim of crushing the Houthi Ansarullah movement, who had taken over from the staunch Riyadh ally and fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, while also seeking to secure the Saudi border with its northern neighbor. Three years and over 600,000 dead and injured Yemeni people and  prevented the patients from travelling abroad for treatment and blocked the entry of medicine into the war-torn country, the war has yielded little to that effect.

Despite the coalition claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi bombers are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.

However, Saudi Arabia relies heavily on the US in its brutal war on Yemen. Washington has deployed a commando force on the Arab kingdom’s border with Yemen to help destroy arms belonging to Yemen’s popular Houthi Ansarullah movement. Washington has also provided logistical support and aerial refueling.
