192 Syrian Civilians, Militiamen, and Regime Soldiers Killed in 3 Days, Mostly in Idlib, Homs, and Hama August 18, 2019 Editor's Note: The following news stories are just examples of the daily horrors of war in Syria. The following are news stories from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) website (http://www.syriahr.com/en/): *** Mine explosion of ISIS remnant kills and injures 6 children in the eastern countryside of Hama SOHR, 18/08/2019 Remnants of the war continue to claim lives of civilians, children, women and men in different areas of the Syrian territory, and in this context, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 3 children in a mine explosion from the remnants of the “Islamic state” Organization yesterday in Masada village in the countryside of Salamiyah city east of Hama, thus, it rose to 129 people including 57 women and 36 children, the number of people who were killed by mines and IED explosions in several areas of the Syrian territory in Homs, Hama, and Deir Ezzor since the 17th of February 2019 until today, and among the total number of casualties the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 44 people including 30 women and 5 children, also the Syrian Observatory documented the killing and execution of 33 members of the regime forces; as they were passing over minefield areas, or arrested by groups of ISIS and executed during their search and collection of the truffle which grows in the areas that is subjected to heavy rain, and it is sold at very high prices, while the IEDs and mines have also left tens of wounded since the second half of February until now, mostly citizen women, and their injuries varied between severe, amputations, middle, and simple wounds. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 16th of August 2019 that the remnants of the Syrian war are continuing to claim the lives of more people throughout Syria, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 2 child brothers and the injury of 3 other children as a result of the explosion of a landmine of the war’s remnants in Housh Hajju village in the northern sector of Homs countryside. 75 were killed on August 16, 2019, including 23 of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them and 52 other people 17 martyrs joined yesterday the convoy of martyrs of the Syrian revolution SOHR, 17/08/2019 In Idlib Province, 17 citizen were killed, they are 15 including 6 children and 4 women were killed in a massacre carried out by warplanes of the Russian “guarantor” which targeted a gathering of displaced people in the vicinity of Hass town in the southern countryside of Idlib, a child was killed in bombardment by regime’s warplanes on Ariha city, and a child was killed in bombing on al-Ghadqa village. The body of an unidentified person was found between Salim village and Rimat Hazem in the northern countryside of al-Suwaidaa, where torture marks were seen on the body. Unidentified assailants shot 2 members of the 4th Division of the regime forces in Naseeb town west of Daraa, which killed them instantly. 34 fighters (26 Jihadis and 8 of the factions) were killed in air and ground shelling and clashes against the regime forces in the southern and southeastern countryside of Idlib. 21 members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them were killed in shelling and clashes against the factions and the jihadi groups in areas in the southern and southeastern countryside of Idlib. 59 were killed on August 15, 2019, including 29 of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them and 30 other people 2 martyrs joined the convoy of martyrs of the Syrian revolution yesterday SOHR, 16/08/2019 In Idlib Province, a citizen was killed in bombardment by regime’s warplanes on Kafrsajna in the southern countryside of Idlib, and a woman was killed in the fall of barrel bombs dropped by helicopters on Hish village south Idlib. 28 fighters (21 Jihadis and 7 of the factions) were killed in air and ground shelling and clashes against the regime forces in the southern countryside of Idlib. 29 members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them were killed in shelling and clashes against the factions and the jihadi groups on areas in the southern countryside of Idlib. 58 were killed on August 15, 2019, including 16 of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them and 42 other people 11 martyrs joined the convoy of martyrs of the Syrian revolution on Wednesday SOHR, 15/08/2019 In Idlib Province, 9 citizens were killed, they are: a member of the civil defense was killed in aerial bombardment by the Russian warplanes on the outskirts of Maarrat Hurmah in the southern countryside of Idlib, a driver in the ambulance team and a male nurse were killed after being targeted by the Russian warplanes that targeted the area between Maarrat Hurmah and Sheikh Mustafa south of Idlib, 4 citizens including a woman were killed in bombardment by the regime’s warplanes on Maarrat Al-Nu’man city in the southern countryside of Idlib, a citizen who was killed in aerial bombardment by the Russian warplanes on the outskirts of Kafr Nubl, and a citizen was killed as a result of rocket shelling that targeted Bdama town in Jisr Al-Shughur countryside west of Idlib. In Homs Province, 2 children were killed in the explosion of a mine of the war remnant in Hosh Hajju village in the northern countryside of Homs. 31 fighters (24 Jihadis and 7 of the factions) were killed in air and ground shelling and clashes against the regime forces in the southern and southeastern countryside of Idlib. 16 members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them were killed in shelling and clashes against the factions and the jihadi groups in areas in the southern and southeastern countryside of Idlib. In 10 days of the collapse of ceasefire within “Putin – Erdogan” area: about 11600 air and ground strikes enable the regime forces to control of 18 towns and villages in Hama and Idlib countryside and kill about 430 people SOHR, 15/08/2019 The military operations of the Syrian regime and its Russian ally completed its 10 days since they were resumed after the collapse of the three-and-a-half-day ceasefire in “Putin – Erdogan” area, this collapse came after the Syrian regime used fake justifications such as bombing Hmeimim airbase, but in fact, the regime forces want to continue the military operations, where the area is witnessing hysterical ground and air bombardment as a support for the ground advancement operations of the regime forces led by the spoiled “Tiger” of Russia, the Brigadier Suhail al-Hassan, where the Syrian Observatory during this period documented 2089 airstrikes targeted the countryside of Aleppo, Hama, Idlib, and Latakia, mostly targeted the northern countryside of Hama and the southern countryside of Idlib, the helicopters dropped 780 barrel bombs, regime’s warplanes carried out 816 airstrikes, the Russian warplanes carried out more than 493 raids, and the regime forces targeted by more than 9500 shells and missiles places in the aforementioned areas. The hysterical bombardment and shelling enabled the regime forces to advance in several areas during the past 10 days within the countryside of Hama and Idlib and controlled 18 towns, villages, farms, and hills, where they took control of al-Arba’in, al-Zakat, al-Sakhr, and al-Jisat in the northern countryside of Hama, thus, they become on the threshold of the last major strongholds of the factions north of Hama, the towns of Kafr Zita and al-Lataminah, they also took control of the towns of Sukayk, and al-Hbit, and the hill of Sukayk, Kafr Ain, Tal Aas and its hill, Om Zaytuna, Kherbet Mershed, Mentar, Kafrtab, Abdeen, Hersh Abdeen, Mardam, and Mdaya, through this strategy, the regime forces seek to come around Khan Shaykhun city and isolate it along with the rest of what remained for the factions in the northern countryside of Hama and surround them completely, where these attempts of advancement by the regime forces come from the northeast and northwest of Khan Shaykhun, while the factions are showing ferocity in defending the eastern areas like Tar’ei which caused the regime forces tens of casualties, and on the fronts of Latakia mountains; the regime forces continue to fail in achieving any advancement in Kabani hills despite the massive amount of bombardment by warplanes and helicopter. The Syrian Observatory documented heavy casualties in 10 days since the collapse of the ceasefire on the afternoon of Monday the 5th of August until the 15th of August 2019, where 40 civilians were killed in air and ground bombardment and shelling by the factions, and they are: 24 civilians including 2 children, 2 women, 4 of the “warplanes observatories,” and 3 of the civil defense and the ambulance team were killed in Russian airstrikes on Hama and Idlib countryside, and 7 including a child and 2 women were killed in shelling by regime’s warplanes on the southern countryside of Idlib, and 5 civilians were killed in the fall of barrel bombs dropped by helicopters on Morek and Khan Shaykhun, and a man was killed in ground shelling by the regime forces on the southern countryside of Idlib, and 3 including a female child were killed in the fall of rocket shells launched by the factions on the villages of al-Jeed and Ain Salmo, which are controlled by the regime forces in Hama countryside, and 227 fighters at least were killed in airstrikes by warplanes of the Russians and the regime, the ground shelling, and in clashes against them, including 160 Jihadis and 161 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in targeting, shelling, bombing, and clashes against the jihadi groups and factions. *** Share the link of this article with your facebook friendsFair Use Notice This site contains copyrighted material the
