Scores of Syrians Killed of Shelling and Air Strikes, in Various Cities

Airstrikes by the International Coalition kill members of the organization in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor Province –

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the International Coalition’s warplanes bombed areas in al-Susah town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, which killed 4 members of the organization, and information about the fall of a number of wounded.

26 people were killed yesterday including 10 members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen, and 15 fighters who were killed in the south of Damascus and other areas

It rose to one citizen, the number of those who joined yesterday the convoy of martyrs of the Syrian revolution

In Idlib province, a citizen was killed after being targeted by the Turkish border guards while he was trying to cross the border line towards Idlib.

While a member of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham was killed while he was trying to dismantle a landmine on the outskirts of Idlib city.

While it rose to 227 at least, the number of members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, who have been killed since Thursday the 19th of April 2018, including 27 officers and 9 of them were executed, while it has increased to 200, the number of members of the organization who were killed in the shelling, clashes and targeting that left tens of wounded in the ranks of the both parties.

And 4 members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen were killed in shelling and clashes against ISIS and the factions.

And at least 3 fighters of ISIS of non-Syrian nationalities were killed in clashes and bombardment of warplanes and helicopters and shelling on their areas of presence.

Iraqi warplanes destroy Islamic State logistics center in Syria

Baghdad (Iraqinews.com) –

Iraqi warplanes carried out an airstrike on an Islamic State (IS) command center inside Syria, the Joint Operations Command was quoted as saying Monday.

“Acting on intelligence reports, the Iraqi F-16 warplanes destroyed a building used by the IS group as a command and logistics support center in southern al-Deshisha area in Syria,” the command said in a statement.

The air raid was launched upon directives by Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, the statement read. No further details were given, but the center said more information about the result of the airstrike will be released later.

The Iraqi air force has already carried out several air strikes against Islamic State in Syria since last year, with the approval of the Syrian government of President Bashar Assad and the US-led coalition fighting Islamic State.

Iraq declared the collapse of Islamic State’s territorial influence earlier in November with the recapture of Rawa, a city on Anbar’s western borders with Syria, which was the group’s last bastion in Iraq.

Despite the group’s crushing defeat at its main havens across Iraq, Islamic State continues to launch sporadic attacks against troops with security reports warning that the militant group still poses a threat against stability in the country.

Military Strikes Continue Against ISIS in Iraq and Syria

Combined Joint Task Force –

Operation Inherent Resolve and its partners continue to strike Daesh (ISIS) targets in designated parts of Iraq and Syria.
 
Ongoing operations by Iraqi Security Forces and Syrian Democratic Forces, supported by CJTF-OIR efforts, demonstrate that work remains to defeat Daesh. Coalition strikes continue to target Daesh throughout Iraq under the leadership of Iraqi authorities. "All Coalition air strikes are carried out with the consent of the Iraqi government," said Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi in a press conference April 1, 2018.
 
The build-up to Operation Roundup has seen a significant increase in offensive operations against Daesh. A recent coalition strike in Dashisha on April 29th killed Nur al-Din, an Iraqi leader with the Daesh terrorist financial network. His removal deprives Daesh of a key leader for financial resourcing and demonstrates the effectiveness of partner force efforts throughout Operation Roundup to rid the Iraqi Syria border regions and the middle Euphrates River Valley of Daesh remnants.
 
Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve and its partners continue to exert pressure on Daesh senior leaders and associates in order to degrade, disrupt and dismantle Daesh structures.

Between May 4 and May 10, Coalition military forces conducted 53 strikes consisting of 63 engagements in Iraq and Syria.
 
On May 10 in Syria, Coalition military forces conducted four strikes consisting of four engagements against Daesh targets.

On May 4 in Syria, Coalition military forces conducted seven strikes consisting of seven engagements against Daesh targets.
•             Near Abu Kamal, seven strikes engaged one Daesh tactical unit, destroyed one Daesh supply cache, one supply route, two IED factories and a vehicle storage facility for Daesh.
 
On May 4 in Iraq, Coalition military forces conducted one strike consisting of two engagements against Daesh targets.
•             Near Al Hawayjah, one strike engaged one Daesh tactical unit and destroyed one Daesh vehicle.
 
This Coalition strike release contains all strikes conducted by fighter, attack, bomber, rotary-wing, or remotely piloted aircraft, rocket propelled artillery and ground-based tactical artillery.
 
A strike, as defined in the Coalition release, refers to one or more kinetic engagements that occur in roughly the same geographic location to produce a single, sometimes cumulative effect in that location.  For example, a single aircraft delivering a single weapon against a lone Daesh vehicle is one strike, but so is multiple aircraft delivering dozens of weapons against a group of Daesh-held buildings and weapon systems in a compound, having the cumulative effect of making that facility harder or impossible to use. Strike assessments are based on initial reports and may be refined.
 
CJTF-OIR does not report the number or type of aircraft employed in a strike, the number of munitions dropped in each strike, or the number of individual munition impact points against a target. The information used to compile the daily strike releases is based on 'Z' or Greenwich Mean Time.
