Actually, from the five thousand years of known written history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

Child Injured After Israeli Occupation Soldiers Chased Him In Hebron

Palestinian medical sources have reported that a child was injured, on Thursday evening, after Israeli occupation soldiers chased him in the southern area of Hebron city, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

The sources said the child, Ali Khalid Jolani, 12, fell while the soldiers were chasing him, and suffered a fracture in his left arm, a torn tendon, in addition to cuts and bruises to his face.

Palestinian medics provided the child with first aid, before rushing him to a hospital in Hebron.

In related news, the soldiers invaded and searched many homes in al-‘Arqa village, near the northern West Bank city of Jenin, in addition to invading the at-Tarm area in Ya’bad nearby town.

The soldiers interrogated several Palestinians while searching their homes and inspected their ID cards.

Settlers Attack West Bank Palestinian Farmers

Israeli Jewish settlers attacked, on Thursday, Palestinian farmers as they were ploughing their land in the village of al-Sawiyeh, south of Nablus, according to a local official.

Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement activities in northern West Bank district, said that settlers from the illegal settlement of Rahalim, built on al-Sawiyeh land, attacked the farmers and prevented them from ploughing their land.

The settlers also destroyed 40 fully grown olive trees owned by the Salman family, according to WAFA.

Meanwhile, said Daghlas, Israeli military authorities decided to seize land near Burin high school, south of Nablus, under the security pretext.

He said that the army had announced, two months ago, that it plans to seize land in Burin to build a fence that would separate the school and land in that area from the main Qalqilya-Nablus road and came back on Thursday to confirm with maps its decision to seize that land, warning that the fence may eventually cause residents to lose a lot more of their agricultural land, which is their only source of income.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Continue Home Invasions, Roadblocks, In Al-‘Isawiya

Israeli occupation soldiers continued, Thursday, the siege, home invasions and violent searches in the al-’Isawiya town, in the center of occupied Jerusalem.

Media sources in al-‘Isawiya said the soldiers installed dozens of roadblocks in several parts of the town, before stopping and searching dozens of cars, and interrogated scores of Palestinians, while inspecting their ID cards.

They added that the soldiers also invaded several under construction buildings, under the pretext of looking for Palestinian workers from other parts of the West Bank, who do not obtain work and entry permits.

On Wednesday evening, the soldiers occupied the rooftop of the main mosque in the town, and removed Palestinian flags, before abducting four young men.

The soldiers also fired many gas bombs, concussion grenades and rubber-coated steel bullets at Palestinians, protesting the constant invasions and violations.

Israeli Occupation Army Abducts Seven Palestinians In The West Bank

Israeli soldiers abducted, on Thursday at dawn, five young Palestinian men, from their homes, in several parts of the occupied West Bank.

The Tulkarem office of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS), in northern West Bank, said dozens of soldiers invaded Tulkarem refugee camp, searched homes and abducted Hazem Srouji and Moayyad Balawna.

In addition, the soldiers invaded several neighborhoods in the northern West Bank governorate of Nablus, violently searched homes and abducted Jihad Afeef al-Akka, and his brother, Mohammad, in addition to Mahdi al-Akka.

In Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank, the soldiers invaded homes in Beit Ummar town, north of the city, and abducted Mohammad Breigheeth, 24, before moving him to Etzion military base and security center.

The soldiers also installed a roadblock in Jouret Bahlas area, at the northern entrance of Hebron city, stopped and searched dozens of cars, and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.

Furthermore, several army jeeps invaded the al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem, also searched homes and abducted a child, identified as Ghassan Ahmad Salah, 16, the son of the coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Wall and Colonies in the town.

In occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers summoned Zohour Abu Mayyala, a known human rights activist, for planning a celebration marking International Women’s Day, scheduled to be held in Salahuddin Street area.

Israeli Occupation Army Injures Eight Women Marching For International Women’s Day

Israeli occupation soldiers resorted, Wednesday, to the excessive use of force against dozens of women, and several men, who nonviolently marched near Qalandia terminal, north of occupied East Jerusalem, marking International Women’s Day.

Palestinian medical sources said at least eight women suffered the severe effects of teargas inhalation and received the urgently needed treatment.

The Palestinians said the procession’s location at the Qalandia Terminal, came to affirm the Palestinian rejection to the illegal U.S. stance and its recognition of the occupied city as the unified capital of Israel, and to affirm that the Palestinian people will never abandon their legitimate, internationally guaranteed rights of independence.

They marched near the terminal, carrying Palestinian flags and chanting for liberation and independence, before the soldiers fired a barrage of gas bombs at them, causing eight women to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.

The soldiers also deliberately fired gas bombs and concussion grenades at Palestinian journalists in an attempt to prevent them from documenting the unfolding events.

Intisar al-Wazir, the secretary-general of the General Union of Palestinian Women, said the location of the procession at the Qalandia terminal which leads to occupied Jerusalem, represents the legitimate Palestinian rights to achieve liberation, and establish an independent Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

“We want to tell the entire world that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Palestine,” she said, “The Israeli occupation, its roadblocks and escalation will never stop us from struggling for our rights.”

Israeli soldiers injured, Wednesday, many Palestinians who were marching peacefully against the illegal Israeli occupation, and in celebration of International Women’s Day.

The Palestinians started the peaceful procession in front of Qalandia refugee camp, north of Jerusalem, where dozens of women and men marched towards the Qalandia terminal.

Almost instantly after the protesters reached an area close to the terminal, the soldiers started firing a barrage of gas bombs and concussion grenades.

Medical sources said dozens of Palestinians suffered the effects of teargas inhalation and received the needed treatment.

Settler Attempts to Run Over Palestinian Human Rights Defender

An Israeli settler, on Tuesday, attempted to run over a Palestinian human rights defender while he was on his way home to Tel al-Ramida, in Hebron.

The human rights defender, Imad Abu Shamsiyya, said ‘the extremist Israeli settler Ofer Hanna, who regularly intimidates peaceful Palestinian demonstrations, attempted to run him over, however he managed to escape unharmed.

Abu Shamsiyya said, according to WAFA, that this is not the first time he was attacked by settlers in the area. However, this time, he was able to recognize the face of the person who tried to attack him. The activist filed a complaint with the Israeli police against the extremist settler.

Settlers violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

According to the Israeli rights group B’Tselem, “As the occupying force, Israel must protect the Palestinians in the West Bank. However, the Israeli authorities neglect to fulfil this responsibility and do not do enough to prevent Israeli civilians from attacking Palestinians, their property and their lands.”

Imad Abu Shamsiyya is the co-founder of the Human Rights Defenders Palestine, and works specifically on documentation and video recording of human rights violations committed against Palestinians.

He is a long-standing activist in Palestine and was formerly a volunteer at B’Tselem, the Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories, where he is involved in documenting the occupation of Tel-Rumeida.

Rights groups brief diplomats on Israel’s violations in Jerusalem

Seven legal and human rights organizations held last Wednesday a meeting with several diplomats at Yabous Cultural Center in Occupied Jerusalem and briefed them on Israel’s escalation of its violations against the Palestinian people following the US recognition of the holy city as an Israeli capital.

The meeting was held by al-Haq Organization, the Society of St. Yves, the Jerusalem Legal Aid and Human Rights Center, the Civic Coalition for Palestinian Rights in Jerusalem, Addameer Association for Prisoner Support and Human Rights, and Badil Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights.

Representatives of these organizations presented to officials from the diplomatic missions in Jerusalem and other rights groups reports and documents on the recent situation of human rights in Jerusalem, according to al-Jazeera Net.

Amina Abdul-Haq, from the Civic Coalition for Palestinian Rights, said that it had talked during the meeting about the legal status of Jerusalem and Israel’s attempts to impose its control over its Old City, including its recent attempt to impose taxes on church property.

She also highlighted the exposure of Jerusalemites to a systematic demolition policy and how they are stripped of their residency rights with the aim of Judaizing the city.
