U.S. drone kills Eight tribesmen in Hadramout

ALMASDARONLINE,  2018-03-

Eight tribesmen were killed in an air strike by a US drone in al Abir area, eastern Hadramout province Thursday evening. A local source told Almasdaronline that the raid targeted a tribal camp in the area northern Hadramout province, killing eight of them immediately.  

Dozens of Houthis killed in series of raids in Hodeida

ALMASDARONLINE , 2018-03-

Dozens of Houthi militias have been killed and wounded in a series of air raids launched by the Saudi-led Arab Coalition aircrafts on a rally southern the coastal Hodeida province, western Yemen, eyewitnesses said.
 
About 11 air raids were launched on Tuesday on a group of Houthis in a farm in Al-Suwaiq area, Tahita district, southern al Hodeida province, they added.
 
They said the raids also destroyed six military vehicles and two four-wheel drive vehicles.
   
No clear toll was reported about the number of dead and wounded.

Arab coalition pound Houthis sites in Taiz, 7 Houthis killed in Midi

The Saudi-led Arab Coalition aircrafts launched on Wednesday five raids on Houthi sites and compounds on the outskirts of Taiz province.
 
A military source told Almasdaronline that the coalition aircrafts launched two raids on the Houthis positions, and two raids on Taiz International Airport campus, resulted in the killing of five militants and wounding four others, as well as the destruction of a tank and two military vehicles.
 
Two raids also were hit on Houthis sites Najd al Aqira in al Enain region, in al Wafi district, killing three and injuring three others.
 
In a similar context, the government forces announced on Wednesday that seven Houthis were killed and dozens were wounded in battles between the two sides in Midi city, in Hajah province, northwestern Yemen.
 
The media center of the Fifth Military Region in a press statement said that fierce fighting broke out between the two sides led by the commander of the Fifth Military Region, Major General Yahya Salah.
 
The center pointed out that the fighting broke out after the government forces repelled the Houthis attack, and fought fierce battles between the parties, using various types of heavy and light weapons.

British opposition leader accuses his country of killing Yemenis

British opposition leader Jeremy Corbin accused his government of colluding with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for war crimes in Yemen.

During a meeting in the House of Commons, Corbin asked two questions to the prime minister about British arms sales to Saudi Arabia and human rights abuses by the kingdom, saying why the red carpet was being laid in London to receive a war criminal.

“As the prime minister negotiates arms sales, will she call on the crown prince to stop the flagrant violation of human rights by Saudi Arabia?” He added, “It is not right that her government colluded on what the United Nations says are evidence of war crimes. Will the prime minister use her meeting with Saudi Arabia today with the Crown Prince to stop the supply of arms and demand a cease-fire in Yemen immediately?

Despite much talk of reform in Saudi Arabia, there has been a significant increase in arrests of dissidents, torture of prisoners has become commonplace, human rights defenders are sentenced to long prison terms, and unfair trials and executions are carried out on a large scale,” Corbin said.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman began an official visit to London on Wednesday, during which he met with British Prime Minister Theresa May and met with Queen Elizabeth, whereas meetings with the head of the British investigations will be held.

Factions Backed by UAE and Saudi forces continue clashing in southern Yemen

Fierce clashes broke out on Friday between rival factions backed by the UAE and Saudi forces, resulting in deaths and injuries, including commanders, in the governorates of Aden and Abyan in southern Yemen.

Eyewitnesses in Aden said that armed elements of the so-called “security belt” of the UAE tried to break into the house of a citizen in the neighborhood of Qid Behan in Sheikh Osman district, before other armed groups intervened and forced them to retreat and that is when confrontations erupted between them.

According to witnesses, the clashes lasted for several hours, and spread to several neighborhoods adjacent to Cairo Street in the district, whereas light and medium weapons interfered, without the source mentioning further information regarding the deaths and injuries on both sides.

Going to Abyan governorate, where local sources reported that confrontations broke out between armed groups affiliated to the UAE and others funded by Saudi Arabia, in the district of Mufhdh, which also included the usage of light and medium weapons.

According to the sources, a number of dead and wounded victims fell during the confrontations, including the leader in the governorates of Aden and Abyan, south of Yemen, one of the major leaders in the so-called “security belt” close to the UAE forces in Abyan.

The governorate of Aden and the rest of the Yemeni governorates have been witnessing an unprecedented security breach, assassinations and criminal bombings under the control of the forces of the Saudi-UAE-led coalition, in addition to the widespread spread of the Takfiri groups such as al-Qaeda and Daesh, which are currently controlling wide swaths in those governorates.

Saudi-led coalition fatal air strikes kill many Yemenis in Sa’ada province

11 citizens were killed and injured, Wednesday,  in raids by the Saudi-led coalition on the Bedouin in Saada province.

Local source confirmed that the jets launched a number of air raids on the Bedouins in the area of Nayel near the city of Saada and the raids resulted in the death of a woman and injured 9 others, including women and children, adding that the jets launched four raids on Kahlan Camp and 3 raids in Sa’ada.

Yesterday, two citizens were injured by a bomb explosion from the Saudi-led coalition’s weapon’s remans in Tawila area in the district of Sohar.

Eight tribesmen, belonging to one family, slaughtered by a drone in Hadramout

Eight tribesmen were killed in an air strike conducted by a drone, most likely belonging to the United States, in the Aabar area in Hadramout governorate.

A drone bombed a camp for the Mahashma tribe, in Aabar, claiming the lives of eight of its men, which belong to the same one family, local source reported to YemenExtra.

Last Monday, four members of the same tribe were killed in a similar raid, the source added, resulting in 12 killed members of the same family.
