As UN General Assembly Condemns Israeli Use of Excessive Force Against Gaza Protesters, More Palestinians Are Injured and Abducted

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of David, Solomon, and Solomon's son).

 After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

Palestinian Dies From Serious Wounds from Israeli occupation soldiers' fire in Khan Younis

The Palestinian Health Ministry has reported, Thursday, that a young man, who was shot and seriously injured by Israeli occupation army fire, has succumbed to his serious wounds.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza, identified the slain Palestinian man as Ahmad Ziad Tawfiq al-‘Aassi, 21.

He added that the young man was shot, several days ago, with an Israeli gas bomb which struck him directly in his head, causing very serious wounds.

The Palestinian was rushed to the Gaza European Hospital, in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, and remained in the Intensive Care Unit until he succumbed to his serious wounds.

His death brings the number of Palestinians, who were killed by Israeli army fire since March 30th, to 126, including two journalists and thirteen children.

The Israeli occupation soldiers also injured 13672 others, including hundreds of suffered serious wounds, mainly after being shot with expanding bullets.

In addition, the soldiers killed two medics, identified as Razan Najjar, 22, and Mousa Jaber Abu Hassanein, 36, injured 223 others, and caused damage to 37 ambulances.

The army also killed two journalists, identified as Yasser Mortaja, 31, and Ahmad Abu Hussein, 25, and wounded 144 others.

Israeli occupation soldiers Injures Many Palestinians Near Nablus

Several armored Israeli military jeeps invaded, on Thursday at dawn, the al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and fired  dozens of gas bombs, causing scores of Palestinians to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.

The invasion started approximately at 2 after midnight, before the Israeli occupation soldiers hurled many sound bombs and concussion grenades, at a group of Palestinian youngsters cleaning the streets of their town’s center, in preparation for al-Fitr Muslim feast, which marks the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The soldiers fired many gas bombs at the Palestinians, and many surrounding homes, causing dozens of Palestinians to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.

In addition, the soldiers surrounded the Old Mosque in the village, where dozens of residents were praying.

Several youngsters started throwing stones at the invading soldiers, who fired more gas bombs, concussion grenades and rubber-coated steel bullets.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said the Israeli gas bombs caused dozens of residents, especially children and the elderly, to suffer the severe effects of teargas inhalation, before three ambulances rushed to the town.

Medics provided the needed treatment to the wounded Palestinians, and moved two of them to Yasser Arafat Hospital, in Salfit.

The invasion lasted for about two hours, during which the soldiers also broke into and ransacked many homes and interrogated several Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.

In related news, the soldiers abducted two young Palestinian men from ‘Aida refugee camp, north of Bethlehem, and one in Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarem, after searching their homes.

UN General Assembly Votes to Condemn Israel’s Use of Excessive Force Against Gaza Protests

The U.N. General Assembly on Wednesday passed a resolution condemning Israel’s use of excessive force on Palestinian civilians.

The resolution passed by a vote of 120-8 with 45 countries abstaining.

A U.S. bid to condemn Hamas, a Palestinian fundamentalist group, for attacks on Israel also received a majority vote in favor — 62-58 with 42 abstaining — but the president of the General Assembly rejected it because it didn’t have the required two-thirds majority to pass.

The resolution is unlikely to lead to any action against Israel because the United States, a close ally of the nation, would veto it.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, who introduced the amendment to blame Hamas, criticized the UNGA for focusing on violence in Israel instead of in Nicaragua, Yemen or Myanmar.

“Gaza is important, but what makes it more urgent than many other desperate places?” she asked. “What makes Gaza different for some is that attacking Israel is their favorite sport.”

The primary resolution was introduced by representatives in Turkey, on behalf of the Islamic Cooperation, and Algeria, on behalf of the Arab League.

Turkish Ambassador to the United Nations Feridun Siniroglu told the UNGA before the vote that the resolution wasn’t about taking sides.

“It is about supporting de-escalation on the ground. It is about deterring further violence from taking place,” he said. “It is a call to the secretary-general to come up with his recommendations on how to protect civilians from further attack. It is a call to all sides to put an end to loss of lives.”

Renewed protests in West Bank against PA sanctions on Gaza

New demonstrations are scheduled to be launched in Ramallah and Nablus in the West Bank in protest at the sanctions imposed by the Palestinian Authority (PA) on the besieged Gaza Strip.

A group of Palestinian activists, journalists and artists have called for protest demonstrations on Wednesday at 9:30 pm at al-Manara and al-Shuhadaa circles in Ramallah and Nablus respectively.

Mass demonstrations were organized in Ramallah on Sunday and Tuesday, with the participation of members of the Palestinian Legislative Council and other political personalities, to call on the PA president Mahmoud Abbas to lift the punitive measures on Gaza.

In April 2017, Abbas decided to wage a series of sanctions against the Palestinian citizens in the Gaza Strip to pressure Hamas to dissolve its Administrative Committee. Although Hamas dissolved the committee in September 2017, new punitive measures were announced against the enclave.

In contrast to the PA position in Ramallah, Fatah movement in Gaza demanded that the PA lift the sanctions imposed on the Gaza Strip and treat the PA employees in the coastal enclave as equally as it treats their counterparts in the West Bank.

Abbas, however, still refuses to respond to the widespread local and international demands to lift the sanctions on Gaza after they have gravely affected the Palestinian citizens' life at all levels, according to human rights reports.

Meanwhile, the PA at dawn Wednesday issued an order banning protests, demonstrations and marches in the West Bank, claiming that the new decision is aimed at maintaining normal life during the upcoming Eid days.

Ramallah Protesters Demand PA to Cancel Sanctions on Gaza

Hundreds of Palestinians held a protest in Ramallah, last night, demanding that the Palestinian Authority (PA) cancel its sanctions against Gaza, describing these measures as punitive measures against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

The participants in the demonstration called on PA President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian leadership to lift the sanctions imposed on the region, and called for the Implementation of the Palestinian National Council decisions on Gaza.

According to Al Ray Palestinian Media Agency, the demonstration was organized by a group called “Movement for Lifting Sanctions Imposed on Gaza”, a large movement of academics, journalists, writers, artists, prisoners, activists and citizens who decided to break the silence toward measures imposed by the Palestinian Authority on the Gaza Strip since March of 2017, in addition to ending the Palestinian division and achieving reconciliation.

The PA has called on Hamas, on 21/3/2018, to transfer control of the Gaza Strip to Ramallah government, saying it was prepared to assume its full responsibilities there, as tensions between the two factions continue to rise. The PA also called on Hamas to hand over the Gaza Strip all at once, and affirmed its readiness to take full responsibility for it.

Abbas, in April 2017, decided to wage a series of punitive measures against the Gaza Strip, to pressure Hamas in dissolving its Administrative Committee.

Although Hamas dissolved the committee in September of 2017, further sanctions were imposed. Most of the PA employees in Gaza receive only 30% of their monthly salaries. 

Israeli occupation forces order Palestinian  farmers in Jordan Valley to evacuate their lands

Israeli occupation forces reportedly ordered a Palestinian farmer in the Jordan Valley to evacuate his land on Tuesday, with forces saying they were going to raze the land.

WAFA agency said, according to Ma’an, that Ahmad Assi Damra, from Hijlet al-Zour, east of Jericho, was ordered to evacuate his 25 dunam (six acre) plot of land, which is planted with palm trees, in order raze it.

A similar order was reportedly made to another Palestinian farmer, Suleiman al-Zayed, who has planted his four dunam plot in the village of Nuweimeh, north of Jericho, with olive trees.

The majority of the Jordan Valley is under full Israeli military control, despite being within the West Bank. Meanwhile, at least 44 percent of the total land in the Jordan Valley has been appropriated by Israeli forces, for military purposes and training exercises.

Forming a third of the occupied West Bank and with 88 percent of its land classified as Area C, the Jordan Valley has long been a strategic area of land unlikely to return to Palestinians following Israel’s occupation in 1967.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Injure Several Palestinians Near Jenin

Several Israeli army jeeps invaded, on Wednesday morning, the town of Ya’bad, southwest of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and injured several Palestinians who protested the invasion.

Media sources said the Israeli occupation soldiers invaded many homes in the town, and violently searched them while interrogating the families and inspecting their ID cards.

Owners of two of the invaded homes have been identified as Ali Sabri ‘Atatra and Fathi Iskandar Sheikh Ali.

Many Palestinians protested the military invasion into the town, and hurled stones at the soldiers who fired many gas bombs, and concussion grenades, and detained several Palestinians before releasing them.

Medical sources said many Palestinians suffered the effects of teargas inhalation and received the needed treatment.

On Wednesday morning, the soldiers invaded Sateh Marhaba area in the al-Biereh city, and the al-Am’ari refugee camp, south of al-Biereh, in the central West Bank governorate of Ramallah and al-Biereh, injured seven Palestinians, including a woman, before abducting her son, who is reportedly involved in the death of an Israeli soldier in late May 2018.

On Wednesday at dawn, the soldiers abducted five Palestinians, four of them from Silwad town, east of Ramallah, and one in Azzoun town, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia.

Israeli occupation soldiers abducted, on Wednesday at dawn, four young Palestinian men from Silwad town, east of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and one in Azzoun town, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia.

Media sources in Ramallah said the soldiers invaded Silwad town, before storming and ransacking many homes, and abducted four Palestinians, identified as Mohannad Samir Tawil, Mohammad Soheil Hamed, Mohammad ‘Aahed Hamed and Eyad Ahmad Majed.

The soldiers also fired gas bombs, concussion grenades and rubber-coated steel bullets at Palestinians, who hurled stones at the invading army jeeps.

In addition, the soldiers invaded ‘Azzoun town, east of Qalqilia, also searched homes, and abducted a young man, identified as Sa’ad Bilal Sweidan, after assaulting and wounding him.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Shoot Eight Palestinians, Abduct One Suspected Of killing A Soldier, In Ramallah

Israeli occupation soldiers invaded, on Wednesday morning, Sateh Marhaba area in the al-Biereh city, and the al-Am’ari refugee camp, south of al-Biereh, in the central West Bank governorate of Ramallah and al-Biereh, injured seven Palestinians, including a woman, before abducting her son, who is reportedly involved in the death of an Israeli soldier in late May 2018.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said the soldiers injured seven Palestinians, including three were shot with live Israeli army fire, after the soldiers attacked Palestinian protesters with live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs.

The PRCS said two Palestinians were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets in the legs, and one in his abdomen, in addition to one resident who was injured by shrapnel from a bullet.

It added that local medics provided the wounded Palestinians with the needed first aid, before rushing them to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

In related news, Israeli sources said the soldiers arrested Islam Yousef Abu Hamed, 32, from the al-Am’ari refugee camp.

The said that Abu Hmeid is suspected in of killing Sgt. Ronen Lubarsky, a soldier with the Israeli army who was seriously injured during an invasion into the refugee camp, after a Palestinian dropped a marble slab on his head, and died from his serious wounds three days later.

It is worth mentioning that the soldiers also injured Islam’s mother, before Palestinian medics rushed her a local hospital. The woman was wounded after the soldiers attacked her and throw a gas bomb at her.

The military is still operating in the al-Am’ari refugee camp, deployed more vehicles on all its entrances and completely isolated it.

Illegal Israeli Settlers Attack Homes Near Nablus, Soldiers Injure Two Palestinians

Israeli occupation soldiers shot, on Monday at night, two young Palestinian men in Burin village, south of the northern West bank city of Nablus, after a group of extremist colonizers invaded the village and attacked homes.

Media sources said a group of the illegal Israeli settlers from Yitzhar illegal colony, built on Palestinian lands, invaded the town, and attacked many homes, causing damage.

Locals tried to force the assailants out of their community, before several army jeeps invaded the town, and the soldiers fired live rounds and rubber-coated bullets at the Palestinians, who protested the invasion and assault.

Medical sources said the soldiers shot one Palestinian with a live round in his neck, and another with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the chest, before they were rushed hospitals in Nablus.

Illegal Israeli Colonizers Cut 200 Olive Trees Near Bethlehem

A group of illegal Israeli settlers invaded, Thursday, Palestinian olive orchards in Khirbet Beit Iskariya village, southwest of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank, and cut 200 trees.

Hasan Breijiyya, the coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Annexation Wall and Colonies in Bethlehem, said the Israeli assailants cut at least 200 olive trees, owned by Kamil Khalil Sa’ad and ‘Amer Hussein Odah.

He stated that the attack is second of its kind in less than two weeks and added that the village is subject to frequent violations.

The village, inhabited by approximately 650 Palestinians, started losing its land to illegal Israel’s colonies since Israel the occupied West Bank in 1967, and started establishing many colonies, including Kfar Etzion, Alon Shvut, Migdal Oz, Neve Daniel, Beit Ayin, Rosh Tzurim, Beitar Illit, Efrat and Elazar.

Beit Iskariya village contains five residential communities; Khirbit Iskariya, Khallet al-Ballout, Wadi Shakhit, Khallet Afffana and Shafe’ey area.

Its size used to be 9000 Dunams and lost 2000 for the illegal construction and expansion of Israel’s colonies, and is currently surrounded by colonies in addition to being subject to constant violations amidst attempts to remove its population.

The villagers live in old small brick homes, as Israel does not permit the families to build or develop their communities, in addition to demolishing seven homes since 2007.
