Alsahwa Net- Millions of Yemenis sleep hungry every night due to humanitarian conditions caused  by four years of war, an official of the International Committee of the Red Cross Sara al-Zawkari told Anatolia Agency.

 “Over 22 million Yemenis need humanitarian assistances and most of them only have one meal a day” she added.

 “ Yemen situation is more than catastrophic and all aspects of life were affected by the conflict, including prices of essential commodities and fuels, and the access to drinking clean water.

 “Yemenis are at a breaking point and it is difficult to stay long in these conditions” she went on.

The confrontations renewed in Damt with casualties from both sides

Armed clashes erupted Friday between government forces and Houthis militia in Murais in Al-Dale province.

According to field sources, Houthis have launched a large-scale attack on Gov positions on the west side of Damt city using medium and heavy weapons in an attempt to regain the positions of “Hariwah hill, Kanna Hills and Hasmi mountain “ but the  Gov’ forces managed to foil the attack.

Twelve were killed and wounded in the ranks of the Houthis, while a government soldier, Osama Saddam, was shot dead and seven others injured.

Two shells killed a woman and injured two others in Hodeidah

A woman was killed and a young man and a girl were injured by a shell fall on  Friday morning in a residential neighborhood in Hodeidah.

The two shells hit a house and a grocery store in the 24th Street in al-Hodeidah, killing an elderly woman and injuring a young man and a girl according to residents.

According to residents, Houthi gunmen rushed aboard vehicles to the place where the shells were dropped, collected shrapnel and left the area.

On Monday, Houthi fighters launched a large-scale attack, accompanied by artillery shelling, in the direction of the northeast of the city and on direction near the University of Hodeidah, led to clashes between them and the legitimate government forces, lasted for hours before the joint forces broke the attack, injuring two citizens In Al Rabsa and Ghaleel Street with stray bullets.

According to residents who told Al-Masdar online reporter that they heard Friday morning firing of a rocket from the al-Houthi militia positions north of the city.

A dispute between a citizen and a Houthi local leader  at the Rababa District security headquarters in the isolation of Bani Omar in “Qafr Al-Safel” yesterday evolved to an  exchange of gunfire and killed a citizen and a woman and the Houthi leader, a local source told Al-Masdar online

UNICEF: 60,000 children in Hodeidah province out of schools due to clashes

“More than 60,000 boys and girls are out of school because of the fighting in and around the port city of Hudaydah in Yemen. The violence has forced over a third of all schools there to close, with 15 located on the frontline and others badly damaged or being used as shelters for displaced families. Schools running double shifts in the area have had to scale back to just a few hours of instruction in the morning, according to a statement Issued by UNICEF representative in Yemen "Meritxell Relaño" on Friday.

“In the worst affected areas of Hudaydah, only one in three students is able to continue their education and less than a quarter of all teachers are present in school. Most education personnel in Yemen have not received a salary in more than two years, and many have been forced to flee the violence or to find other opportunities to make ends meets.

“Despite the many hardships they face, countless teachers across Yemen continue to educate children in any way that they can. Their commitment to keeping children learning is nothing short of heroic.

“There is no aspect of a child’s life in Yemen that isn’t deeply impacted by the conflict. As the war on children in Yemen continues to injure and kill, the violence is also having a profound effect on children’s education – and their prospects for a brighter future. Parties to the conflict should immediately stop the fighting and refrain from military activities in and around schools in Hudaydah and across Yemen, to keep students, teachers and other education staff out of harm’s way and give education a chance.

“UNICEF is working on a programme to provide teachers with small cash payments monthly to help keep them in school until the salary crisis is resolved.

“It is urgent that Yemeni authorities work together to find a solution for paying teachers’ and other civil servants’ salaries. Above all, the war on children in Yemen must stop.”

6 civilians killed, injured in Saudi American airstrikes targeting houses in Hodeidah

Six civilians were killed or injured in US-backed Saudi-led airstrikes on Friday in the province of Hodeidah, the Yemeni news agency Saba reported.

One citizen was killed and five sustained injuries, including a woman and a child when the drone targeted four houses in 24 neighborhood in al-Mina district, said the agency.

The warplane waged nine airstrikes on al-Jabaliah area.

Saudi-Led Coalition Escalates Its Crimes Against Yemenis as Peace Talks Draw Near-Report

As Yemen awaits for the upcoming negotiations between the warring parties in early December, the Saudi-led coalition continues and commits various crimes all over Yemen, in a sign of showing the rejection of peace and to hinder any peace talks that could end the war that has triggered the worst humanitarian catastrophe in the world since 100 years.

Saada governorate, north of Yemen

An elderly woman lost her life while a girl was injured on Thursday after an airstrike conducted by the US-backed Saudi coalition joint air force in the northern Yemeni province of Saada.

The elderly woman died of her wounds that she got from a Saudi aerial raid, which targeted Shaaban district in the bordering region of Razih.

In addition, a two-year-old girl was injured after coalition raids targeted during mid-night, the Nashour area.

In the same context, the Saudi army launched intensive missile bombardment on residential areas in the district of al-Zaher, causing material damage to the property of the citizens, while coalition warplanes launched an airstrike on a citizen’s car that was traveling on the main road within the west of the district of Haidan in the same governorate.

The aggressive coalition continues with the intensification of raids and land bombardment on the province of Saada by targeting citizens and various vital installations in the province.

On Friday, villages were exposed to a rocket attack artillery shelling in Saada on Friday, causing severe damage to homes and property.

According to a local source from the northern province, the Saudi militia targeted with rockets and artillery shells, residential areas in the bordering district of Razih, resulting in damage to property.

The source added that many livestock were killed during the Saudi bombardment within different areas in the district of Munebah bordering district.

The Saudi army also targeted with a series of raids several areas in Saada, where it has targeted in the past few hours residential areas in the bordering regions of Munebah, Razih, Shada and Baqm by dozens of rockets and artillery shells.

Hodeidah province, West coast of Yemen

Last Thursday night, eight civilians, including two women, were wounded when a Saudi air strike targeted the home of a citizen in Karama village.

According to a local source from Hodeidah, quoting medical sources, two cases were subjected to serious injuries and their chances of survival are slim, noting that a third injured man died on Friday as a result of the critical wounds from the Saudi strike.

A few hours after the aforesaid crime, A civilian was killed and 5 others were wounded, including two women and a child, as a Saudi unmanned combat drone targeted 4 houses within the 24 neighborhood in the district of al-Mean’a

On Friday, a child was killed by Saudi mercenaries open fire as they randomly started shooting civilians in the area of al-Swaiq, Tuhita district.

Additionally, the Saudi-led military aircraft carried out a raid on the aforesaid district, nine others during nighttime on the al-Jabliah area.

It is worth mentioning that the coalition led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates is holding a number of ships carrying goods near the bordering province of Jizan even though they got permits from the United Nations, according to a statement by the Yemeni Economic Commission.

The statement also pointed out that 4 million people in the coastal port city of Hodeidah are below the poverty line and on the verge of famine due to the aggressive policy followed by the Saudi-led coalition.

The Saudi war against Yemen was launched in March 2015, where it has killed more than 56,000 thousands of civilians, according to a new report by the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED), a nonprofit conflict-research organization.

The war has resulted in the worst humanitarian crisis since world war II. The UN said the impoverished state is on the brink of famine, where more than 14 million people are facing possible starvation after nearly four years of war.

UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Mark Lowcock made appeal during a press briefing after arriving in the Yemeni capital Sana’a on Thursday.

“I’d like to see a cessation of hostilities, especially around the key infrastructure, especially around Hudaydah,” Lowcock said

The UN official said the fighting has once again highlighted the ongoing humanitarian tragedy in the war-ravaged Arab country.

“I have come because I am very concerned about the humanitarian situation here, which has deteriorated since I was here last.”

The developments come as the UN peace envoy Martin Griffiths is hoping to bring warring factions to Sweden in the coming days for negotiations on ending the conflict.

Griffiths says that he has received “firm assurances” that the warring Yemeni parties would attend talks in the Swedish city of Stockholm.

The Saudi-backed side has, however, stepped up the raids aimed at seizing Hodeidah despite the peace efforts.

Ansar Allah has warned that the rise in Saudi assaults on Hodeidah could frustrate efforts by Griffiths to rekindle peace talks in Sweden next month.

Human Rights Activists Organized a Protest Rally in Washington to Support the Yemeni People

Human Rights Activists organized a protest rally in front of the headquarters of Shank Schumer, the majority leader of the Democratic Party in central Washington, to demand a halt to war crimes committed by the coalition in Yemen.

This came one day after the US Senate voted democratically on a resolution to stop US support for the coalition in its war on Yemen.

The protesters raised banners expressing their demands to protect Yemen’s children from war.

As well as hundreds of Iraqis have staged a protest in central Baghdad against Saudi Arabia’s war on Yemen. Participants called for the lifting of the blockade on Yemen and expressed solidarity with Yemenis.

Yemeni army forces hit coalition targets after these practices

Yemeni army forces respond to the Saudi-led coalition, backed by the US,  with a number of military operations in retaliation for the kingdom’s campaign of military campaign against their country.

The air and artillery forces of the Yemen army forces on Friday carried out a joint attack against the coalition’s paid fighters in Hodeidah province.The attack took place in western coast and inflicted the paid fighters heavy losses.

Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah television network, citing unnamed military officials from the missile unit of the Yemeni army, reported on Thursday that Bir Askar camp had been hit with short-range and solid-propellant Badr P-1 missiles late Wednesday.

It added that the projectiles had struck the designated targets with precision, inflicting heavy damage on the hardware and equipment of the base, particularly on a number of US-made Apache helicopters belonging to the Saudi army. The explosions also triggered a huge fire, leading to more damage.

Abdel Bari Atwan, the editor-in-chief of Rai al-Youm, a pan-Arab digital news and opinion website, took to Twitter, condemning Nilesat’s move on Wednesday to take al-Masirah TV off the air.The Egyptian satellite company stopped broadcasting al-Masirah, accusing the Yemeni television channel of “sectarian programming,” according to Saudi state television Al Arabiya.

On the other hand, a civilian was killed and five were injured, including a child and two women, on Friday when the coalition drone’s strikes hit Hodeidah province.The drone’s strikes targeted four homes in 24 area of Mina district.

Two women were wounded on Thursday evening by  coalition’s snipers in Lahj province.The snipers targeted al-Hawamira area, injuring the two women.

At least five of the 37 US republican senators who voted against a recent resolution to end US military support for the Saudi-led war in Yemen have received election contributions from lobbying groups working for Saudi Arabia, according to a study.Senators Tim Scott, John Boozman, Roy Blunt, Richard Burr and Mike Crapo all received financial contributions from firms representing Saudi interests between 2016 and 2017, according to a report by the Center for International Policy (CIP).

Mahdi al-Mashat, the senior political leader of the popular resistance movement says Yemen will liberate the country’s south  on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the country’s independence from Britain. from the grip of separatists and coalition led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

In March 2015, the US -backed –Saudi-led coalition started  a war against Yemen with the declared aim of crushing the Houthi Ansarullah movement, who had taken over from the staunch Riyadh ally and fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, while also seeking to secure the Saudi border with its southern neighbor. Three years and over 60,000 dead and injured Yemeni people and  prevented the patients from travelling abroad for treatment and blocked the entry of medicine into the war-torn country, the war has yielded little to that effect.

Despite the coalition claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi bombers are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.

More than 2,200 others have died of cholera, and the crisis has triggered what the United Nations has described as the world’s worst humanitarian disaster.
