About 25 persons were killed and injured in two explosions in the north of Homs city due to “the fall of two shells on the area”

Homs Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

Two violent explosions were heard in the outskirts of Homs city, in which cross-sources said that they were caused by the fall of two rocket shells on a mill in the mills area in the north of Homs city, which caused a large number of human losses, in which 8 persons at least were killed, while more than 17 others were injured with varying degrees of severity, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries.

The opposition factions target the controlled areas of the SDF in Aleppo countryside and a violent attack by the regime forces in order to achieve new advancement in the north-east of Hama

Aleppo Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The rebel and Islamic factions targeted positions of the Syria Democratic Forces in Minj Airplane by mortar shells, in the northern countryside of Aleppo, and no information was reported about casualties in the ranks of the SDF, also unidentified gunmen targeted a vehicle in Al-Bab city, in the north-eastern countryside of Aleppo by an explosive device, which caused material damage, and the injury of a fighter.

Hama Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

Areas in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, witnessed renewed shelling by the regime forces, targeted areas in Al-Lataminah town, while the clashes renewed between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions, in areas in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, in which the regime forces started an attack on areas on shekhaiter area near Al-Rahjan town, in which the later is the hometown of the Minister of Defense of the regime Fahd Jassem al-Freij.

Al-Rahjan town was out of the control of the regime forces in the middle of July 2014, in which Nusra Front (Al Qaeda in the Levant) took the control of it then, after continuous and violent attack targeted the village which is located in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, as the regime forces are trying to regain the control of the village, by carrying out successive attacks, and the clashes are accompanied by selling by the regime forces on the area, in conjunction with targeting an armored vehicle of the regime forces by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in shekhaiter village in the eastern countryside of Hama, which caused it damage it as well as human losses in their ranks.

More casualties raise the death toll to 30 persons at least including 19 children and citizen women of who were killed by detonating a booby trapped vehicle in a gathering of displaced people in Dair Ez-Zoar  countryside

Dair Ez-Zoar Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The number of the human losses is rising due to the explosion which targeted a gathering of displaced people of Dair Ez-Zoar  countryside, near the area of al-Jufrah oilfield, in the north-eastern countryside of Dair Ez-Zoar , in which the death toll has raised to 30 casualties at least including 12 children under the age of eighteen, and 7 citizen women, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of injuries, some of them have seriously wounded.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented on Saturday the 4 of November 2017, that 75 persons at least including tens of children and citizen women, while more than 140 persons were injured with varying degrees of severity, as a result of detonating a booby trapped vehicle by the “Islamic State” organization, that targeted a gathering and a column of the displaced people, in the area between the field of Al-Azba and Koniko gas field, in the east of the Euphrates River, and two members at least of the Syria Democratic Forces were killed in the explosion, and 4 others were injured with varying degrees of severity, and the death toll may increase due to the presence of tens of injuries in critical cases.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned then that the explosion which carried out on the road that is known as Al-Tojjar Road, and which foodstuffs and vegetables pass through, to the controlled areas of the organization, resulted in closing the road, the matter which resulted in the increase of the prices of the foodstuffs to triple in the controlled areas of the organization, on the eastern and the western banks of the Euphrates River, and it is noteworthy that a similar detonation was carried out on the 12 of October 2017, and it also targeted a gathering of the displaced people.

The Syrian Observatory published then that 18 people at least were killed, they were civilian displaced people from Dair Ez-Zoar  province and members of the Internal Kurdish Security Forces “Asayish”, they were killed when a member of the “Islamic State” organization detonated himself in a gathering of displaced people in Abu Fas area south of Al-Hasakah province at the administrative borders ofDair Ez-Zoar  province, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; the detonation was carried out by detonating a booby trapped truck carried furniture in a gathering of trucks in the area, in which the explosion caused other explosions that rocked the area one of them was of an explosion of a fuel truck, and it does not known until now if there was another suicidal detonation, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of a large number of injuries, some of them have seriously wounded.

The activists of the Syrian Observatory in the area also monitored resentment among the displaced people who escaped from the bombardment and the ongoing clashes in Dair Ez-Zoar as a result of the long wait in the area and preventing them by the SDF to enter immediately to the camps, it is noteworthy that tens of displaced people were lost due to hurrying and heading to the desert as a result of the suicidal explosion, amid fears of being targeted by the International Coalition warplanes believing that they are members of the “Islamic State” organization.

The Syrian regime forces expand in Al-Bokamal city and impose their control over 90% of city area and more than 80 casualties during 3 consecutive days of the violent clashes there

Although the Syrian regime forces control most of Al-Bokamal city, and concentrating the fighting in the last parts in the city, the violent clashes are still continuing between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of the Syrian nationality, the Revolutionary Iranian Guards, the Lebanese Hezbollah and Al-Nujaba’ Iraqi Movement against the members of the “Islamic State” organization of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in the eastern section of Al-Bokamal city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which was the last city of the “Islamic State” organization in the Syrian territory, and the largest stronghold within the areas remaining under its control, most of which are confined in Deir Ezzor province.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the fierce resistance by the organization, in an attempt to repel the violent attacks of the regime forces, during which they are seeking to expel the organization from the last areas that are controlled by the organization, in the north and the north-east of the city, and the SOHR monitored that the regime forces managed to increase their scope of control, and they controlled more than 90 % of Al-Bokamal city, while the presence of the organization is confined in the eastern and the north-eastern sections of the city, adjacent the western bank of the Euphrates River, while the violent clashes are accompanied by intensive shelling by the regime forces on the clash areas and bombardment by the Russian warplanes as well as regime’s warplanes, on areas in Al-Bokamal city and its outskirts, which caused human losses in the ranks of the both parties.

 And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented since last Thursday the 16th of November 2017, until today the 19th of November 2017, the death of tens of members in the ranks of the both parties, in which 31 members at least of the regime forces and the gunmen loyal to them of Syrian, Lebanese, Iraqi and Iranian nationalities were killed, while more than 50 members of the “Islamic State” organization of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities were killed, including 8 members detonated themselves by explosive belts and booby trapped vehicles inside Al-Bokamal city and its outskirts, and members in the ranks of the both parties were injured with varying degrees of severity.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that military operations continue in the far eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where the violent clashes continue between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian, Arab and Asian nationalities against members of the “Islamic State” organization of non-Syrian and Syrian nationalities, in areas within al-Bokamal city in the northern and northwestern sections of the city, which used to be the last city for the organization in Syria and the largest remaining stronghold of it within the Syrian territory, amid more advancement by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in the city, where they were able to control most of the city, and the clashes are still taking place in the other parts of the city, amid attempts by the “Islamic State” organization to carry out counterattacks which may enable it to advance and regain control of it lost of the city that has a strategic importance, and this advancement in al-Bokamal city is accompanied by violent clashes in the western banks of Euphrates River, less than 35 km away to the west of the city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and the Syrian Observatory learned that violent clashes are taking place between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against members of the “Islamic State” organization, where the regime forces were able to control Salhiya town and the organization has become trapped in about 7 towns and villages between Mahkan (adjacent to al-Mayadin) and Salhiya, also the Syria Democratic Forces advanced in the east in parallel to this advancement, and Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received information that members of the organization have withdrawn of the villages before being besieged by the regime forces in the western bank of Euphrates, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored on the 12th of November 2017 that the regime forces and their allied militiamen of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, led by Brigadier in the regime forces Suhail Al-Hassan, and backed by the tribal militiamen, starting their violent attack coming from Al-Mayadin areas on the western outskirts of the Euphrates River towards Al-Bokamal city, which is near the Syrian – Iraqi border, in the eastern part of Deir Ezzor province. The SOHR learned that the regime forces managed to achieve strategic and big advancement through advancing to tens of square kilometers and reach an area of about 35 km west of Al-Bokamal city, which is the largest stronghold remained for ISIS in Syria.

US-Led Strikes Continue Against ISIS in Syria, Iraq

SOUTHWEST ASIA, Nov. 17, 2017 —

U.S. and coalition military forces continued to attack the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, conducting 34 strikes consisting of 56 engagements Nov. 13-16, Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve officials reported today.

Officials reported details of the strikes, noting that assessments of results are based on initial reports.

Strikes in Syria

Yesterday in Syria, coalition military forces conducted five strikes consisting of 10 engagements against ISIS targets near Dayr Az Zawr. The strikes engaged four ISIS tactical units and destroyed an ISIS vehicle and three explosive hazards.

On Nov. 15, coalition military forces conducted a strike consisting of three engagements against ISIS targets near Dayr Az Zawr. The strike engaged an ISIS tactical unit.

On Nov. 14, coalition military forces conducted four strikes consisting of seven engagements against ISIS targets near Dayr Az Zawr. The strikes engaged four ISIS tactical units and destroyed three explosive hazards, two fighting positions and a command-and-control center.

On Nov. 13, coalition military forces conducted three strikes consisting of three engagements against ISIS targets:

-- Near Abu Kamal, a strike engaged an ISIS tactical unit and destroyed an ISIS headquarters.

-- Near Dayr Az Zawr, two strikes engaged two ISIS tactical units and destroyed an ISIS vehicle and an ISIS headquarters.

Strikes in Iraq

Yesterday in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted five strikes consisting of five engagements against ISIS targets:

-- Near Qayyarah, three strikes destroyed three ISIS-held buildings.

-- Near Rawah, two strikes destroyed an ISIS improvised explosive device facility and an artillery piece.

On Nov. 15, coalition military forces conducted four strikes consisting of seven engagements against ISIS targets:

-- Near Qayyarah, a strike destroyed a vehicle-borne bomb factory.

-- Near Rawah, three strikes engaged two ISIS tactical units, destroyed four ISIS vehicles and damaged a fighting position.

On Nov. 14, coalition military forces conducted eight strikes consisting of 17 engagements against ISIS targets:

-- Near Qaim, a strike engaged an ISIS tactical unit and destroyed two ISIS vehicles, a weapons cache, a vehicle-borne-bomb factory and two suicide vests.

-- Near Qayyarah, a strike destroyed an ISIS supply route.

-- Near Ramadi, a strike destroyed an ISIS bunker and four ISIS vehicles.

Officials Provide Details of Latest Strikes Against ISIS

SOUTHWEST ASIA, Nov. 13, 2017 —

U.S. and coalition military forces have continued to attack the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, conducting 39 strikes consisting of 67 engagements Nov. 12 through yesterday.

Strikes in Syria

On Nov. 10 in Syria, coalition military forces conducted eight strikes consisting of nine engagements against ISIS targets:

-- Near Shadaddi, a strike destroyed an ISIS fighting position.

-- Near Dayr Az Zawr, seven strikes engaged six ISIS tactical units and damaged a heavy machine gun.

On Nov. 11 in Syria, coalition military forces conducted five strikes consisting of five engagements against ISIS targets:

-- Near Shadaddi, a strike engaged an ISIS tactical unit and destroyed an ISIS vehicle and a fighting position.

-- Near Dayr Az Zawr, four strikes engaged four ISIS tactical units.

Yesterday in Syria, coalition military forces conducted 10 strikes consisting of 18 engagements against ISIS targets:

-- Near Abu Kamal, two strikes engaged an ISIS tactical unit and destroyed an ISIS tactical vehicle.

-- Near Ramadi, two strikes destroyed four ISIS tunnels, a weapons cache, an ISIS truck, an ISIS sedan and an ISIS fuel truck.

-- Near Rawa, two strikes engaged an ISIS tactical unit and destroyed an ISIS staging area.

-- Near Tuz, a strike engaged an ISIS tactical unit and destroyed an ISIS tunnel, two weapons caches, an ISIS truck and a tunnel entrance.

On Nov. 11 in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted eight strikes consisting of 13 engagements against ISIS targets:

-- Near Qaim, three strikes engaged two ISIS tactical units and destroyed an ISIS-held building, an improvised-explosive-device storage facility and five ISIS supply routes.

-- Near Hawija, two strikes destroyed four IEDs.

-- Near Rawa, three strikes suppressed an ISIS tactical unit and destroyed an ISIS-held building and facilitated effective harassing fire on ISIS targets.

Yesterday in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted a strike consisting of one engagement near Rawa, destroying an ISIS fighting position.

Previous Strikes

Officials also provided details today on nine strikes consisting of 20 engagements in Syria and Iraq for which the information was not available in time for the most recent previous report:

-- On Nov. 5 near Abu Kamal, a strike destroyed two ISIS supply routes.

-- On Nov. 5 near Qaim, a strike destroyed four ISIS supply routes.

-- On Nov. 7 near Abu Kamal, a strike destroyed eight ISIS supply routes.

-- On Nov. 7 near Qaim, three strikes destroyed four ISIS supply routes.

-- On Nov. 8 near Abu Kamal, a strike facilitated effective counter fire on ISIS targets.

-- On Nov. 9 near Qaim, two strikes engaged an ISIS tactical unit and destroyed an ISIS-held building.
