Positive Development for Opening Rafah Border Crossing Between Egypt and Gaza July 1, 2017, GAZA, (PIC) + - Hamas Movement said that its relation with Egypt is undergoing a qualitative and positive move following the latest understandings with Egyptian authorities in Cairo. “The Egyptian national security is part of the Palestinian national security”, Hamas highlighted. The Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem said, in a statement on Saturday, that his Movement and official authorities in Gaza are pursuing a series of security measures that contribute in maintaining security in both sides. Qasem hoped that the relation with Egypt will get improved in the soon future to the extent that allows opening the Rafah crossing and facilitating the entry of goods into the besieged Gaza Strip as well as the travel of individuals. Gaza power station runs a third turbine to compensate for the electricity supply shortage July 1, 2017, GAZA, (PIC) + - The Palestinian energy and natural resources authority in the Gaza Strip on Saturday decided to operate the third turbine at the power station to compensate for the electricity supply shortage after Egypt’s cross-border lines ran into trouble again. According to the electricity distribution company in Gaza, there will be no change in the daily power supply program after running the power plant’s third turbine. Therefore, the population will continue to receive power for four hours following every 12 hours of blackout, the distribution company affirmed.
