Israeli Occupation Soldiers Kill a Jordanian Tourist, Attack and Kidnap Palestinian Workers, Burn Stores, Arrest Arab Politicians in Galilee

Trigger-happy Israeli occupation soldiers shoot and kill Jordanian tourist, Saeed Al-Amr, in Jerusalem

September 18, 2016, AMMAN, (PIC)--

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Saturday condemned the Israeli occupation army for deliberately shooting Jordanian Saeed Al-Amr, 27, in occupied Jerusalem, killing him instantly. 

Ministry spokesperson, Sabah Al-Rafei, cast doubt on the Israeli police narrative that Amr had tried to stab Israeli troops, saying the police statement had clearly stated that no soldiers or policemen were hurt in the incident.

Rafei said the Jordanian government was following up on the incident, which took place Friday, to learn about the details and ensure that the body of the victim will be handed over to his family "so that legal and diplomatic measures applied internationally in such cases could be pursued".

Amr’s family members have also been striving to receive his body.

The Jordanian citizen entered the occupied Palestinian territories on Thursday with a tourist group to visit the holy city of Jerusalem.

The family added that their son has no political affiliations and that he was executed in an arbitrary manner.

Israeli occupation soldiers attack citizens, burn store in Eizariya town

September 18, 2016, OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)--

17 Palestinian citizens on Saturday afternoon suffered suffocation and one clothing store went on fire after Israeli occupation soldiers stormed Eizariya town east of Jerusalem and intensively fired tear gas and stun grenades at citizens.

The store owner said that soldiers randomly fired volleys of gas and stun canisters as they were chasing some young men, which triggered widespread fire in his store.

He said his store sustained considerable material damage, accusing the Israeli occupation forces of deliberately targeting open stores during their raids in the town.

For its part, the Red Crescent said that its ambulance crews provided medical help for 17 citizens, who suffocated by tear gas during the events or inhaled fumes from the burning clothing store.

In a separate incident, Israeli police forces kidnapped on the same day a 15-year-old minor in Issawiya neighborhood in east Jerusalem on allegations that he threw stones at settlers' cars.

20 Arab Party leaders arrested by Israeli police in the Palestinian territory of Galilee

The Israeli police on Sunday arrested more than 20 activists and members of the National Democratic Alliance party in 1948 Occupied Palestinian territory of Galilee (which is part of the Arab State of Palestine according to the 1947 UN Partition Resolution), claiming a probe revealed that the party had concealed the origin of millions of shekels in donations. 

The Balad Party, which holds three Knesset seats and is one of the four parties comprising the Joint (Arab) List faction, said the arrests were part of a systematic campaign of political persecution against its leaders and affiliates.

Those arrested in the sweep of Balad’s offices included senior members and activists, among them lawyers and accountants.

The party’s chairman Awad Abdul Fattah was also targeted by the campaign.

In a statement to the press, Balad denied the charges, calling them fabricated and baseless.

The party dubbed the latest arrests a brazen and dangerous escalation, saying they rather manifest of an Israeli attempt to undermine the party’s national and democratic role.

Illegal Israeli fanatic settlers break into Aqsa Mosque

September 18, 2016, OCCUPIED JERUSALEM,(PIC)--

Illegal Israeli fanatic settlers stormed on Sunday morning the holy al-Aqsa Mosque, in Occupied Jerusalem, under a tight police shield.

A PIC news correspondent said at least 70 Israeli settlers, escorted by policemen and intelligence officers, broke into the al-Aqsa Mosque via the Maghareba Gate.

The Israeli extremist settlers defiled the plazas of the Mosque and attended sermons delivered by a fanatic rabbi on the counterfeit history of the alleged temple mount.

The assault sparked tension at and around the holy site, where the peaceful Muslim sit-inners and worshipers have maintained vigil.

The Israeli occupation cops have also been seizing the IDs of the Muslim worshipers at the main entrances to the Mosque.

Dozens of Muslim worshipers have, meanwhile, been banned from entering the site to perform their prayers.

Palestinians kidnapped, homes ravaged in IOF West Bank sweep

September 18, 2016, WEST BANK, (PIC)--

Several Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Sunday in an assault on the West Bank provinces of Nablus and Jenin.

A PIC news correspondent said the IOF kidnapped the two brothers Ibrahim and Hamouda Hmeidan from the Balata refugee camp, to the east of Nablus, after they wreaked havoc on their family home.

Clashes burst out at predawn time shortly after the IOF stormed Sebastiya town, to the north, and cracked down on Palestinian anti-occupation youths.

The Israeli army patrols targeted the Palestinian protesters with randomly-shot spates of live rounds, rubber bullets, and teargas canisters.

Meanwhile, IOF soldiers broke into Jenin province and ravaged three Palestinian homes in Sanour town, to the south, before they summoned their owners to questioning.

The assault targeted the home of the Hamas leader Ziad Gharbiyeh, who was later summoned to questioning.

At the same time, the IOF turned the home of the Palestinian citizen Tawfiq Shaker, in Jenin’s southern town of Yabad, into a military post.

Local sources said the occupation soldiers raised the Israeli flag and cordoned off the building’s rooftop before they cracked down on the Palestinian passersby.

Israeli occupation army officer injured in stabbing attack in Efrat settlement

September 18, 2016, BETHLEHEM, (PIC)--

A Palestinian young man was seriously wounded after he stabbed an Israeli occupation army officer on Sunday morning in the illegal Israeli Efrat settlement, south of Bethlehem.

According to Israel's Channel 2, the officer was badly injured in the stabbing attack and was rushed to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in Jerusalem.

The young man was also taken later to the same hospital in serious condition after soldiers in the settlement showered him with bullets. He was identified as Baha a-Din Khalil.

In a related development, the Israeli occupation army decided to deploy an additional infantry battalion to the southern West Bank province of al-Khalil on Saturday evening following two days of attacks against soldiers and settlers.

The decision to reinforce the flashpoint locale with the Kfir Brigade’s Shimshon Battalion was made based on situation assessments following recent Palestinian attacks, according to the Israeli media.

At the behest of war minister Avigdor Lieberman, the Israeli army also dispatched thousands of soldiers and reservists to isolated settlements in different West Bank areas. 18-9-2016 2:16 PM

18 workers, 8 civilians kidnapped by IOF from occupied territories

September 18, 2016, RAMALLAH, (PIC)--

At least 18 Palestinian workers and eight youngsters were  kidnapped Saturday by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) from the occupied territories.  

18 Palestinian workers were arrested by the Israeli occupation police for allegedly entering 1948 Occupied Palestine without permits.

The Israeli cops stopped a vehicle carrying 18 workers and took them all in for questioning.

Tens of thousands of Palestinian workers are forced to seek a living by working in 1948 Occupied Palestine due to crippling unemployment in the occupied West Bank, as the growth of an independent Palestinian economy has been stifled under the ongoing Israeli military occupation.

At the same time, six Palestinians were kidnapped by the IOF from Irak Burin town, to the south of Nablus.

According to eyewitnesses, violent clashes flared up shortly after the occupation troops rolled into Irak Burin town and cracked down on Palestinian anti-occupation youths.

The Israeli army patrols targeted the young protesters with randomly-shot spates of teargas canisters.

Over recent days, at least 14 Palestinian civilians were kidnapped by the IOF from Irak Burin.

Two more youngsters were kidnapped by the Israeli soldiers at the Zaatara military checkpoint, to the south of Nablus province.

The Israeli troops reportedly signaled a vehicle to stop and ordered those onboard to get down, before they arrested them and dragged them to an Israeli military jeep.

The IOF had earlier imposed a massive crackdown on Palestinian passengers and vehicles in Nablus, blocking their movement in and out.
