31 Americans Killed, 64 Injured in Just One Day of Gun Violence, 10,357 Killed in Nine Months and 17 Days, by September 17, 2016

 

Editorial Note:

Tens of thousands of Americans are killed every year in domestic and workplace gun violence, tens of thousands more are injured, all of that is for the benefit of the gun industry, and indirectly for the benefit of the war industry, both of which promote violence in the United States.

Zionist-controlled politicians and media are dead silent about this continuous holocaust, which is perpetrated against the American people on daily basis. However, they wait for a rare gun shooting incident perpetrated by a Muslim, then they repeat mentioning it, as incitement against Muslims generally, and Muslim Americans in particular, ignoring the continuous American holocaust, which is perpetrated by non-Muslims.

The objective is to justify the continuous US wars and invasions of the Muslim World since 1990, in order for the war industry beneficiaries to justify the enormous and unprecedented US national debt, which has reached more than $19 trillion, as a result of the permanent-war military spending.

For example, in 2015, there were 53,228 shooting incidents, resulting in the killing of 13,415 Americans. Of these, there were only two incidents perpetrated by Muslims and resulting in the killing of 18 Americans.

The Zionist media, like Fox News and CNN, together with the  war industry agents and Zionist-controlled politicians like Trump, kept mentioning these two incidents while totally ignoring the other 53,226 incidents, which resulted in the killing of 13,398 Americans!

The end outcome is that the American people are indeed actual victims of a continuous warmongering campaign, Islamophobia, and a daily holocaust, perpetrated against them by the war industry beneficiaries and their agents in the media and politics.

31 Americans were killed, 64 were injured in gun violence incidents, in just one day, on September 17, 2016.

During the first eight months and 17 days of 2016, there were 10,357 Americans who were killed and 21,540 who were injured by other Americans, in 40,343 incidents of gun violence, including 280 mass shootings.

In 2015, there were 13,415 Americans who were killed and 27,000 who were injured by other Americans in 53,226 incidents of gun violence, including 330 mass shootings.

In 2014, there were 12,588 Americans who were killed and 23,035 who were injured by other Americans in 51,811 incidents of gun violence, including 280 mass shootings.

2 Dead, 7 Injured in DC Shooting:

Police have identified two men who were killed in a shooting that injured seven other people at an outdoor event in southeast D.C. Saturday night.

The shooting happened in the 2600 block of Birney Place SE, police said. 

 Metropolitan Police Department Interim Police Chief Peter Newsham said police were called about 8:20 p.m. Officers found 18-year-old Zoruan Otto Harris of Southeast and 31-year-old Scorpio-Rodney Alonzo Phillips of Southeast dead at the scene.

Seven other people have non-life threatening injuries, including a boy who is believed to be 8 years old and a woman, Newsham said. The boy was conscious and speaking when he went to the hospital, according to Newsham.

At least four of the people shot, including the boy, took themselves to the hospital or someone took them there, D.C. Fire and EMS said.

Fire and rescue workers transported two others who were injured to the hospital. Police believe there could be more shooting victims.

Newsham said police believe the shooting happened during a music event that was outside in the parking lot area between two apartment buildings. A "significant" number of people were at the event, Newsham said.

Residents told News4 the shooting happened at an annual event called "Dorsey Day," which is named for a man who lived in the neighborhood and was known for supporting the community.

"There were multiple people out there and it looks like there were multiple shooters. So there was some kind of dispute up here that resulted in gunfire," Newsham said.

It is not known how many shooters there were at this time and no arrests have been made. Newsham said police are talking to "some folks."

"Because of the fact that there were so many people up here, we have a pretty good sense that we're going to be able to get to the bottom of what exactly occured up here," Newsham said.

Newsham and residents who live in the area condemned the shooting.

"Let me tell you something, this shouldn't happen. Folks ought to be able to come out here an enjoy a nice event on a nice evening and the fact that you would have some violent offenders out here doing this kind of thing, hurting young people, hurting women and you have two folks that are killed -- it shouldn't happen," Newsham said.

"Here we go again. Violence in Southeast - gun violence and the chief of police and the mayor still refuse to put out the vice squad, people out here that can control our streets, patrol our streets and keep our streets safe," said ANC Commissioner Paul Trantham.
