Israeli occupation forces fire tear gas bombs and bullets against Palestinian young men inside Gaza Strip

Three Palestinian young men on Friday evening suffered bullet injuries during confrontations with Israeli soldiers east of Gaza City and al-Bureij refugee camp.

A spokesman for the health ministry in Gaza affirmed that the young men were moderately wounded by Israeli gunfire during the weekly protest rally east of Gaza.

Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli border soldiers intensively opened fire at young protesters in Tal Abu Haseena area, east of al-Bureij camp, and showered them with tear gas.

Israeli bulldozers had infiltrated on Thursday morning into the eastern border area of the camp where weekly protests take place and embarked on flattening the mounds of sand used by local young men as protection against bullets.

Injuries in clashes between Palestinian security forces and young men in Balata refugee camp

A number of Palestinian citizens suffered injuries during violent armed clashes at dawn Saturday between gunmen and scores of Palestinian Authority (PA) security personnel in Balata refugee camp in Nablus.

The violent events have been taking place since one o’clock in the morning, according to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reporter in Nablus

Eyewitnesses told the PIC reporter that the violence broke out after a large number of security forces and presidential guards stormed at dawn some Balata neighborhoods, occupied several houses and deployed snipers on rooftops, describing the gunfight as the most violent since a long time.

Local sources also reported that several citizens, including a member of the security forces, were wounded and rushed to Rafidia hospital during the confrontations.

They noted that the security man lost one of his eyes, while one of the wounded citizens suffered a head injury after he was severally beaten in the events.

Meanwhile, several local women rallied on the streets of the camp in protest at the security campaign in the camp.

60 year-old Palestinian dies after being run over by a car of an illegal Israeli settler

QALQILIYA, (PIC) + -

A Palestinian elderly man was proclaimed dead on Wednesday of serious wounds he had sustained in a vehicular attack by a Jewish settler east of Qalqiliya.

According to a statement released by the Arab Specialist Hospital in Nablus, 60-year-old Mohamed Dawud suffered multiple severe bruises and fractures after he was rammed on Tuesday by an Israeli car on a road east of Qalqiliya.

Dawud was rushed at first to Yasser Arafat Hospital in Salfit city following the car-ramming attack, according to local sources.

A group of Israeli settlers attacked Wednesday evening a Palestinian farmer while picking his olive trees in Turmus'ayya town, north of Ramallah.

Local sources affirmed to the PIC reporter that four Israeli settlers coming from Adi Elad settlement, illegally built near the town, brutally attacked the farmer while picking olives in his agricultural land.

The sources pointed out that Israeli forces, who were stationed in the area, did not intervene to stop the attack.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Kidnap A Palestinian Farmer, Force Many Out Of Their Orchards Near Nablus

Israeli occupation soldiers invaded, Friday, Palestinian olive orchards in Qosein village, west of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, attacked many villagers while in their orchards, kidnapped one of them and forced the rest out of their lands.

The soldiers told the villagers that they must leave their orchards, and forced them to stop the picking of their olive trees.

Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian Authority official in charge of monitoring Israeli settlement policies in the occupied territories, said the villagers were unable to continue picking their olive trees.

He added that the latest attack is part of ongoing violations carried out by the soldiers, and groups of extremist Israeli colonists, living in illegal colonies and outposts, built on Palestinian lands.

Daghlas stated that the villagers in several villages and towns, in the Nablus district, have been facing constant attacks, especially over the last two weeks, since the beginning of the olive harvest season.

Illegal Israeli settlers burned and destroyed olive trees in Nahalin, west of Bethlehem

Illegal Israeli Jewish settlers on Saturday morning burned and sabotaged many fruitful olive trees in Nahalin town, west of Bethlehem.

The owner of the olive grove, Ahmed Fanun, said that after he and his family went in the morning to his plot of land, which is located between the town and Gush Etzion settlement, they were surprised to see the widespread damage that happened to the trees.

Fanun added that 20 olive trees were either burned, destroyed, or uprooted.

The farmer has appealed to the competent authorities and concerned activists to provide protection for his land, especially since that was not the first time his grove was exposed to sabotage by settlers.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Injure Two Palestinians In Beit Ummar

Several Israeli occupation military jeeps invaded, on Friday afternoon, Beit Ummar town, north of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and attacked Palestinians holding a nonviolent procession.

The residents were marching while carrying Palestinian flags, demanding Israel to release the corpse of Khaled Bahar, 15, who was killed by army fire last week.

Mohammad Awad, the media spokesperson of the Popular Committee in Beit Ummar, said the soldiers were stationed at the entrance of the town, and started firing rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs at the nonviolent protesters.

Awad added that two young men were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets in their legs, while scores of residents suffer the severe effects of teargas inhalation.

Israeli occupation soldiers invaded, Friday, the al-‘Arqa village, west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and clashed with local youths, before firing gas bombs and rubber-coated steel bullets, causing many Palestinians to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.

Local sources said the soldiers started driving provocatively in various neighborhoods in the village, and harassed many Palestinians, leading to clashes.

The sources added that the soldiers fired many gas bombs targeting protesters, and several homes, causing many residents, including children, to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.

PPS: “Israeli Occupation Army Kidnaps 28 Palestinians, Including Children, In The West Bank”

The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) has reported that Israeli occupation soldiers kidnapped, overnight and at dawn, twenty-eight Palestinians, including children, in different parts of the occupied West Bank.

The Bethlehem office of the PPS said the soldiers kidnapped eleven Palestinians in the district, mainly from al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem.

The kidnapped have been identified as Omar Abdullah, Ibrahim Issa, Maher Hasana, Osama Salah, Emad Salah, Ali Bader, Mahmoud Abu Sorra, Sharaf Yassin Abu Salem, and three siblings, identified as Moath, Ahmad and Khader al-Kayed.

The soldiers also invaded Azzoun town, east of the northern West Bank district of Qalqilia, searched homes and kidnapped five Palestinians, identified as Moath Sweidan, Mohammad Adam Badwan, Omar Abdullah Radwan, Mersaal Monther Radwan and Tamer Bassem Radwan.

In Ramallah district, the soldiers invaded and searched many homes and the district, and kidnapped Mohammad Abbassi, 16, Yousef Ahmad Hashem, 15, Mohammad Omar Hussein, 28, and Ala Sobhi Hammouda.

In Jerusalem, the soldiers kidnapped three Palestinians, identified as Mohammad Abbassi, 16, Adham Za’tary, 15, and Dia Obeid.

In Nablus, in the northern part of the West Bank, the soldiers kidnapped Abdul-Rahma Waleed Saleh, 20, and Anwar Sa’ad Sakha, 25.

In Jenin, in the northern part of the West bank, the soldiers kidnapped Shadi Talal Zakarna, while Adnan Azzam Mer’ey, 35, was kidnapped in Salfit, in central West Bank, and Ayman Taha was kidnapped in Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank.

Israeli Occupation Army Kidnaps A Palestinian In Hebron, Navy Attacks Fishers In Gaza

Israeli occupation soldiers invaded, on Thursday, the southern area of Hebron city, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, and kidnapped one Palestinian. The soldiers also invaded an area east of Tubas, while the navy attacked fishing boats in Gaza waters.

The Hebron office of the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) said the soldiers invaded homes in the southern area of the city and kidnapped Ayman Abdul-Hamid Taha, 33.

In addition, the soldiers invaded Khallet Hamad area, in the West Bank’s Northern Plains area, east of Tubas, and threatened to demolish newly constructed structures, even tents, installed in place of structures the military demolished more than a month ago.

Aref Daraghma, an expert on Israeli settlements file, said illegal Israeli settlers recently invaded the area were the demolished structures once stood, and started constructing a new outpost.

In addition, Israeli navy ships fired many live rounds at Palestinians fishing boats, close to the coast in the northern part of the Gaza strip.

Earlier Thursday, the army invaded the Old City of occupied East Jerusalem, and the al-Eesawiyya town, searched homes and kidnapped three Palestinians.

On Thursday morning, the soldiers invaded al-Khader, south of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, and kidnapped seven Palestinians, including three siblings, and occupied a home to use it as an interrogation facility.

On Wednesday evening, the soldiers kidnapped a Palestinian teenager in Shu’fat town, north of occupied East Jerusalem, while on Tuesday, the soldiers kidnapped twin brothers, 12 years of age, after summoning them for interrogation.

Also on Wednesday evening, the soldiers invaded Al-Kader’s Old City, and clashed with Palestinian youngsters.

Israeli Border Guards Who Killed Pregnant Palestinian Mom & Her Brother Will Not Be Charged

In April 2016, a 16-year old boy and his 23-year old pregnant sister were shot and killed near the largest Israeli checkpoint in the West Bank, Qalandia. The two Israeli border guards who killed the two family members have faced no charges or discipline, and now, Israeli prosecutors have officially closed the case, and determined that no charges were warranted against the guards.

A gag order was placed on the case by Israeli officials, and only after reporters from the Israeli paper Ha’aretz asked for the removal of the gag order was it discovered that no charges will be filed against the two guards.

According to Israeli prosecutors, there is no proof that the two guards acted improperly when they killed the unarmed child and his older sister.

Maram Taha, 23, and Ibrahim Taha, 16, her brother, were walking near Qalandia checkpoint on April 27th, and were around 65 feet away from the checkpoint when the guards claim that they seemed to be acting suspiciously, and shot them both.

Their bodies were held by Israeli officials for over a month, preventing the family from carrying out burial rites.

Maram was five months pregnant, and a mother of two children; Sarah, 6, and Remas, 4.

While Israeli prosecutors claimed that surveillance video footage at the checkpoint showed Maram attempting to throw a knife, they have refused to make the alleged video public.

Initially, on the day that she was killed, Israeli officials told the media that Maram was wearing an explosive belt. But when this was clearly not the case, when it was shown that she was pregnant, they simply stopped repeating the claim. They never officially retracted that claim, but it was not mentioned when the case was submitted to the military court system for review.

Over the past year, Israeli soldiers have been witnessed planting knives on or next to Palestinians that they have killed. This has led to suspicions among Palestinians in the case of Maram and Ibrahim Taha, particularly since Israeli officials have refused to release the surveillance video of this killing.

The case against the two Israeli border guards who shot the young mother and her little brother was submitted to prosecutors with a recommendation that no charges be brought against the guards.

Israeli prosecutors apparently agreed with this assessment, and decided not to prosecute the two unnamed Israelis who killed Maram and Ibrahim.

The Taha family has no legal recourse to appeal this decision by the Israeli military authorities, which govern the Palestinian Territories with martial law.
