As Trump Wins NRA Endorsement, 5013 Americans Have Been Killed by Gun Violence in 2016 So Far

Editorial Note:

Tens of thousands of Americans are killed every year in domestic and workplace gun violence, tens of thousands more are injured, all of that is for the benefit of the gun industry, and indirectly for the benefit of the war industry, which promotes the violent American culture.

Politicians and the Zionist media are dead silent about this continuous holocaust, which is perpetrated against the American people on daily basis. However, they wait for a rare gun shooting incident perpetrated by a Muslim, then they repeat mentioning it, as incitement against Muslim Americans, ignoring the continuous American holocaust, which is perpetrated by non-Muslims.

The objective is to justify the continuous wars and invasions of the Muslim World since 1990, in order for the war industry beneficiaries to justify the enormous and unprecedented US national debt, which has reached more than $19 trillion, as a result of the military spending.

For example, in 2015, there were 53,228 shooting incidents, resulting in the killing of 13,415 Americans. Of these, there were only two incidents perpetrated by Muslims and resulting in the killing of 18 Americans.

The Zionist media, like Fox News and CNN, together with politicians like Trump, kept mentioning these two incidents while totally ignoring the other 53,226 incidents, which resulted in the killing of 13,398 Americans!

The American people are indeed actual victims of a continuous warmongering campaign, Islamophobia, and a daily holocaust, perpetrated against them by the war industry beneficiaries and their agents in the media and politics.

During the first four and a half months of 2016, there were 5,013 (by May 12) Americans who were killed by other Americans in gun violence.

In 2015, there were 13,415 Americans who were killed by other Americans in gun violence.

In 2014, there were 12,588 Americans who were killed by other Americans in gun violence.

Donald Trump delivered one of his sharpest attacks to date against Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, telling a group of thousands of gun enthusiasts Friday that she would “abolish” the Second Amendment and pack the Supreme Court with antigun justices.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee received a rousing reception at a forum hosted by the political arm of the National Rifle Association and won the group’s endorsement, taking another step toward being accepted as the GOP standard-bearer after a divisive primary season.

“Hillary wants to disarm vulnerable Americans in high-crime neighborhoods,” he said. “I am going to put criminals behind bars and guarantee that law-abiding Americans have the right to self-defense.”

Mrs. Clinton has put gun control at the center of her campaign and has been traveling with mothers of children who died from gun violence and at the hands of law enforcement. She will speak Saturday at a Miami dinner sponsored by the Trayvon Martin Foundation, a gun-control group honoring the Florida teenager slain by a neighborhood-watch volunteer. The shooter, George Zimmerman, who said he was acting in self-defense, put the gun he used up for sale in an online auction this week, provoking outrage in the gun-control community.

Mr. Trump wasn’t the top choice of some at the NRA event, in part because he backed an assault-weapons ban and longer waiting period for gun sales in a 2000 book. But if the general election pits him against Mrs. Clinton, who has vowed to “change the gun culture” and “take on the gun lobby,” firearm owners say their choice will be an easy one.

NRA leaders at the annual forum cast the election more as a referendum on Mrs. Clinton than as an opportunity to support Mr. Trump. If she is elected, “you can kiss your guns goodbye,” NRA Chief Executive Wayne LaPierre told the crowd.

“If your preferred candidate dropped out of the race, it’s time to get over it,” said Chris Cox, executive director of the NRA’s Institute of Legislative Action, who announced the endorsement of Mr. Trump right before he came on stage. The current vacancy on the Supreme Court means “the Second Amendment is on the ballot,” he added.

Mrs. Clinton signaled last week that she was ready to debate Mr. Trump on guns, posting on Twitter: “FACT: Donald Trump would force schools to allow guns in classrooms on his first day in the office.”

Mr. Trump floated a proposal earlier this year to do away with gun-free school zones. “I will get rid of gun-free zones on schools,” Mr. Trump said while campaigning in Vermont in January. “My first day, it gets signed, OK?’’ he said.

Mr. Trump would need Congress to repeal a 1990 federal law signed by former Republican President George H.W. Bush that forbids most firearms near school grounds.

Mr. Trump, who this week released 11 names of potential Supreme Court nominees, challenged Mrs. Clinton to do the same. He also said her bodyguard should “immediately disarm.”

Mr. Trump repeated his contention that the terrorist attacks last year in Paris and San Bernardino, Calif., could have been thwarted if the victims had weapons. “If we had guns on the other side, it wouldn’t have been that way,” he said. “We’re getting rid of gun-free zones.”

Mr. Trump’s ties to the NRA run through his sons, Don Jr. and Eric, who are both avid sportsmen and gun collectors. Don Trump Jr. is meeting with Mr. Cox and members of Congress on Wednesday in Washington, D.C.

The candidate’s previous support for an assault-weapons ban isn’t the only issue some NRA members have with Mr. Trump, who switched in and out of the Republican Party before rejoining in 2012. He has challenged party orthodoxy on free trade, taxes and foreign policy, and once supported abortion rights.

“I’m holding my nose,” said Marshall Mac Euen, a 62-year-old lighting salesman from Birmingham, Ala. “He’s not a Republican. He’s not a conservative. I just don’t trust him.”

He and other gun owners wary of Mr. Trump, however, say they would rather see just about anybody in the White House than Mrs. Clinton. They see the former secretary of state as an extension of the Obama administration, which has issued executive orders expanding background checks on gun buyers.
