Palestinian boy killed after stabbing soldier

January 5, 2015, BETHLEHEM, (PIC)--

A 15-year-old Palestinian boy was killed after attempting to stab an Israeli soldier near Gush Etzion junction in southern Bethlehem on Tuesday morning.

Hebrew media reported that the soldier was treated for minor wounds at the scene of the incident, while the Palestinian child was gunned down by other soldiers on the spot.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said that the boy, Wasim Deiriya, was from Beit Fajjar in Bethlehem and was only 15 years old.

Israeli occupation forces stopped traffic heading to Bethlehem northwards and al-Khalil southwards following the incident.

11 Palestinians arrested across West Bank

January 5, 2015, NABLUS, (PIC)--

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested at dawn Tuesday 11 Palestinians across occupied West Bank.

Israeli media sources claimed that “11 wanted Palestinians” were detained for allegedly being involved in anti-occupation attacks.

Seven Palestinians were arrested in al-Khalil, while two ex-detainees were detained after Israeli forces violently stormed Nablus, north of the West Bank.

In Jenin, make-shift checkpoints were erected at dawn Tuesday in the southern towns of the city. A 17-year-old minor was arrested in al-Tur town.

In Qalqilia, IOF closed the entrance to Azun town, east of the city, after an alleged shooting attack against a settler’s car near the area.

According to eyewitnesses, hundreds of Israeli soldiers were deployed near the main road linking between Nablus and Qalqilia before closing the entrance to the town.

Since the outbreak of the Jerusalem Intifada in early October, the number of Palestinian prisoners drastically increased to reach approximately 6,800 prisoners and detainees, including 660 administrative detainees, more than 470 children, 60 female prisoners, and five members of the Palestinian Legislative Council.

Injuries reported as clashes erupt in O. J’lem

January 5, 2015, OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)--

Dozens of Palestinian youths were injured Monday evening as clashes broke out between local youths and Israeli police forces throughout occupied Jerusalem.

Media sources said that the clashes erupted when Israeli forces violently broke into Issawiya town, east of the city, amid heavy firing of live and rubber bullets. 

Tear gas bombs were also intensively fired during the clashes, leading to breathing problems among many local youths.

Three youths were arrested after Israeli forces stormed a number of homes in the town.

Similar clashes were reported in Kattana town, northwest of the city, following a funeral procession for Ahmad Jamal Taha, 16.

Medical sources confirmed that 11 Palestinians were injured during the clashes that erupted after a funeral in Kattana village. Seven Palestinians were injured with live fire and three more with rubber-coated steel bullets while 30 choked on tear gas.

An ambulance was targeted with rubber bullets during the confrontations, the sources added.

On the other hand, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced that the bodies of three Jerusalemites, who were killed while reportedly carrying out attacks, would be returned conditionally.

Israeli authorities would hand over the bodies on the condition that they will be buried outside of the separation wall that splits occupied Jerusalem. Each family of the three slain Palestinians has to sign an affidavit approving the condition, which if violated they would have to pay a fine, the sources explained.

5 youths injured, a house burned in Qalqilia

January 4, 2015,  QALQILIA, (PIC)--

At least five Palestinian youths suffered different injuries and burns Monday evening after an Israeli tear gas bombs attack at Jayous town, east of Qalqilia.

Medical and local sources told the PIC reporter that five injuries were reported as Israeli forces violently stormed the town and fired tear gas bombs at local homes.

Two of the reported injured youths were taken to hospital in moderate condition.

A house was completely burned during the attack, the sources added.

Earlier Monday, Israeli forces claimed that a number of settlers’ cars were stoned while passing near the town.

Illegal Israeli settlers storm the Aqsa, Special Forces take photos of sit-inners

January 4, 2015,  OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)--

A group of illegal Israeli Jewish settlers Monday morning stormed the plazas of the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem. Meanwhile, Israeli intelligence members disguised in plain clothes took photos of sit-inners.  

Quds Press revealed that 14 settlers broke into the courtyards of the Aqsa Mosque from the Magharebah gate under tight security measures by Israeli police. They toured the plazas amid chanting of Palestinian worshipers and sit-inners who had been present at the holy site since the early morning despite the chilly cold. 

Israeli intelligence forces disguised in plain clothes, roamed the courtyards of the Aqsa compound and took photos of Muslim sit-inners, a guard of the Mosque revealed.
