The dead : 68 civilians, 14 rebels, 20 Non-Syrian Islamic fighters, 14 Regular forces, 16 NDF, 10 unknown rebels, 2 non-Syrian militants allied to regime forces. 

–  10 Unknown rebels killed by clashes against regime forces, bombardment, and targeting their checkpoints .

– 16 National Defense Forces militiamen were killed by clashes and attacks on their checkpoints around Syria.

– 14 Regular forces were killed by clashes, snipers, IEDs, and attacks on their checkpoints and vehicles.

– 20 Non-Syrian fighters from ISIS, Jund Al-Sham and Jabhat Al-Nusra were killed by clashes and targeted

—  2 non-Syrian militants allied to regime forces killed by clashes against rebels.

Explosive barrels target al-Rastan and IS attacks Der-Ezzor

Homs province: Explosive barrels were dropped on areas of Ter Ma’la, no reports of losses. Rose to 5 the number of people who were killed by explosive barrels in al-Rastan. Russian warplanes raided Talbisa city and al-Hawla, what killed 1 civilian in al-Hawla.

Der-Ezzor province: Warplanes raided al-Rasafa, al-Sena’a, and al-Huwayqa neighborhoods, no reports of losses. amid clashes between regime forces and IS in the city. IS detonated a suicide car in the city, no reports of losses. 

Bombardment targets Hama countryside

Hama province: Explosive barrels were dropped on al-Latamina town after midnight, no reports of losses. Clashes took place after midnight between regime forces and rebels around Tal Meleh, reports of losses in both sides. A child from al-Seqelbia town which is inhabited by Christians was killed by wounds sustained by shells targeted the town 2 days ago.

Losses in Reef Dimashq and continued clashes in Lattakia countryside

Reef Dimashq province: 5 rebels were killed by explosive barrels and bombardment targeted Ma’damia al-Sham, activists accused regime forces in using gases. 

Lattakia province: Russian warplane raided the Turkman mount amid regime’s bombardment on Salma town, no reports of losses. Clashes taking place between regime forces and Islamic battalions around al-Noba mount, confirmed reports of advances for the regime in the area. 

The clashes continue in Lattakia’s countryside, while warplanes carry out 6 raids in Khan Sheikhoun

Lattakia Province:

The Islamist factions targeted gatherings for the regime forces around Ghazalah hill in the northern countryside of Lattakia, no information about casualties so far. 

The violent clashes between the regime forces, backed by NDF, al- Baath Battalions, Hezbollah and allied militiamen of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against Jabhat al- Nusra the rebel and Islamist are still taking place in several areas in the northern countryside of Lattakia. 

Idlib Province:Warplanes believed Russian carried out 6 raids on the city of Khan Sheikhoun and its outskirts, no information about casualties. 

The regime forces shelled the outskirts of Jeser al- Shogour city in the west of Idlib. 

A young man from the city of Khan Sheikhoun died after he was wounded due to earlier airstrikes on the city.

Aleppo province: Shells fired by rebels fell around NDF HQ in Jam’ia al-Zahraa neighborhood followed by regime’s bombardment on areas of the neighborhood, no reports of losses.

Russian warplanes went in 6 airstrikes on Hreta, Hayan, al-Mallah, and Asia areas in the northern countryside what killed a woman and a child. Russian warplanes also raided the large Orm and Kafar Hamra towns and other areas of Bab al-Hadid, Tariq al-Bab, and al-Jazmati.

No reports of losse. Islamic battalions targeted regime bastions in Khan Toma, reports of casualties. Warplanes went in 5 airstrikes on Damascus-Aleppo highway, no reports of losses.

SOHR documented the death of at least 4166 people since the beginning of the U.S led coalition airstrikes on Syria in September 23,  until this morning December 23, hundreds others were wounded as well, vast majority IS extremists. 

The number of civilians who were killed in the coalition airstrikes on oil areas that contain oil refineries, oil wells, building and vehicles, in the provinces of al- Hasakah, Deir Ezzor, al- Raqqa, Aleppo and Idlib has risen to 299, including 81 children and 53 women. Among the deaths, there is a family of a man, his wife and their 5 children killed in US- led coalition airstrikes on the village of Dali Hasan in east of the town of Serrin in northeast of Aleppo and 64 civilians killed by a massacre committed by the U.S led coalition warplanes on Friday’s night in 04/30/2015 when they targeted Bir Mahli village near the town of Serrin in Aleppo with several air strikes, and the death toll of this massacre includes:  – 31 children under the age of 16 including ( 16 females and 15 males ). – 19 women above the age of 18. – 13 men above the age of 18. – A 18 years old boy. 

IS militants also informed relatives of a man from the city of al- Mayadin in Deir Ezzor that he was killed in the airstrikes carried out by US-led coalition on one of IS posts in the area, where he was being detained by IS during the airstrikes that targeted the post. In addition, one of the guards of the oilfield of al- Omar killed during the coalition’s airstrikes on the field. A leading figure in IS also killed with his wife and 4 of their children.   Meanwhile, 136 fighters from Jabhat al-Nusra killed by coalition air strikes on their HQs in the western countryside of Aleppo and the northern countryside of Idlib. Among the deaths there are leading figures like Abo Homam, the military leader in Jabhat al- Nusra, Abo Omar al- Kerdi, Abo Hamzah al- Faransi, Abo Qutadah al- Tonusi and the prominent leader in al- Qaeda Mohsen al- Fadli. 

3712 militants from IS, most of them Non-Syrian fighters, were also killed by the coalition airstrikes on their HQs and groupings as well as on oil refineries  in Homs, Hama, al-Hasakah, al-Raqqa, Der-Ezzor, and Aleppo. The death toll concludes dozens of leaders of Arab and foreign nationalities like Abo Osama al- Iraqi who the Wali (the governor) of al- Brakah State,  Aamer al- Refdan who was the ex-wali of al- Kheir State and Abo Sayyaf. 

In addition to, 10 fighters from al- Sunnah Army killed due to airstrikes carried out by US- led coalition warplanes on their headquarter in Atmah area in the countryside of Idlib. Another fighter from an Islamic brigade, who was detained by IS, killed by coalition air strikes on IS HQ in Ma’dan in al-Raqqa countryside. 

We, in SOHR, believe that the real number of casualties on IS and the other factions’ ranks is more than our documented number due to IS concealment on its casualties. After 15 months, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights re-expresses its strong condemnation to kill 300 civilians, including 143 women and children, due to the coalition airstrikes, and calls for neutralizing civilian’s areas from all kinds of military operations, where the victims of these operations are the Syrian civilians whose millions of them have been wounded and displaced. Meanwhile, the international community are still turning a deaf ear to our people’s pleas, their hope of establishing the state of democracy, justice, equality and freedom as well as sentencing those who have killed them and violated their rights.
