Israeli occupation government cabinet decides to intensify Gaza aggression

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)--

The Israeli occupation government security cabinet has resolved to press on with its bloody aggression on the Gaza Strip and the destruction of tunnel network.

Israeli radio quoted a military official as saying that the Israeli army will continue to pursue a policy of setting up humanitarian ceasefire for specific periods in areas that are free of fighting without endangering the lives of soldiers at risk or to stop the destruction of the tunnels

It is expected that a second meeting is to be held Thursday to assess the situation and make decisions for the next stages of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

On the other hand, Israeli occupation authorities decided on Wednesday to call up 16,000 additional reserve troops, raising the number of reserve soldiers called up so far to 86,000.

The sources said the call-up and the frequent visits to U.S. came as part of Israel's ongoing preparations for expanding its military mission.

Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel reiterated his country’s stand in the following statement affirming: "the United States' support for Israel's security and its right to defend itself," according to a statement released by the U.S Department of Defense.

8 journalists, 1359 civilians killed in ongoing Israeli genocides

Sameh Al-'Aryan, a journalist at al-Aqsa TV channel, died of injuries he sustained in Wednesday’s Shujaiya market massacre, which took away the lives of 18 civilians, medics at al-Shifa hospital reported Thursday.

Journalist Rami Rayan, was also killed in al-Shuja'iya genocide, bringing the death toll of journalists murdered in the Israeli offensive on besieged Gaza Strip to eight.

Female journalist Najla Mahmoud al-Haj and photographer Khalid Hamad, along with journalists Izat Zakkout, Abdul Rahman Ziyad Abu Hein, Izzat Dhuhair, and Bahauddin Gharib were all killed in the Gaza offensive.

The Palestinian Journalist Bloc denounced in a statement such Israeli genocides, declaring Israel has crossed all red lines and dealt a serious blow at all international laws and decrees.

The Bloc called on the international community, the UN, the Arab media corpus, and Reporters without Borders to take on their responsibilities and break their shameful silence over such Israeli attempts to stifle the voice of journalists and prevent any authentic coverage of the scene.

The Journalist Bloc further denounced such Israeli premeditated and cold-blooded mass-murders and urged the international community to immediately step in so as to impose an international ban on exporting arms to the Israeli occupation.

At least 1359 civilians were killed while some 7600 were left wounded in the ongoing Israeli offensive on the besieged Gaza Strip. 110 was the number of Gaza civilians mass-murdered in no more than 24 hours’ time, Wednesday.

Palestinian medics said Al-Shuja'iya massacre, alone, killed 18 civilians and left some 200 others severely wounded. Several limb amputations have been reported in the massacre.

13 Palestinians Dead, Scores Wounded By Israeli Air Strikes

Following two days of massive Israeli bombardment of all parts of the Gaza Strip resulting in more than 200 Palestinians dead, the early hours of Thursday morning saw 13 additional Palestinians killed, and dozens injured.

A Palestinian man was assassinated, and several others have been injured, by an Israeli missile in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. The slain Palestinian has been identified as:

Fadel Nader Almeghari, 27, Rafah

Another Palestinian journalist died, of earlier injuries, at the Shifa Medical Center in Gaza. He has been identified as:

Mohammad Daher, Gaza.

The Israeli Air Force also fired a missile into a home belonging to Sabra family members in the ad-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City.

Soldiers also fired shells into the al-Maghazi School for Girls, run by the UNRWA, in central Gaza.

13 Palestinians Dead, 15 Wounded By Israeli Air Strikes

The bodies of two Palestinian family members who were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza were brought to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital:

Suleiman Baraka, 31 and
Aref Baraka, 58

Two civilians were reported to have died from wounds sustained in earlier airstrikes. Both died in Al-Aqsa Martyr’s Hospital in Gaza City. They were identified as:

Ahmed al-Loah, 22 years old and
Baraa' Yousef, 19.

The four men all died in the Al Aqsa Hospital, which was itself the target of an Israeli air strike on July 21st. 5 people were killed, and 70 were injured in that blast.

In northern Gaza, 15 people wounded in Israeli airstrikes arrived at the Kamal Odwan Hospital for treatment in the pre-dawn hours of Thursday.

In Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, Abu Yousef Hospital received the body of a woman who died in an Israeli airstrike. She was identified as:

Maha Abdul-Nabi Salim Abu Hilal.

In Khan Younis, six Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike, and their bodies taken to the Gaza European Hospital. They were identified as:

Resident Mohammad Juma’ Al-Najjar, 32, suffered a serious injury.

According to journalist Mohammad Omer, airstrikes early Thursday morning targeted Al Aqsa TV in northern Gaza, which was previously targeted by Israeli airstrikes on Monday.

Airstrikes hit the home of the Sabra family in southern Gaza, the head of the family is a well-known Palestinian doctor.

The Al-Maghazi refugee camp has been hit numerous times throughout the night, as has the area around the UN school in Jabalia that was directly targeted by an Israeli airstrike Tuesday.

The continued bombardment of the area around the Jabalia school made it difficult for investigators to enter the area to examine the damage.

They did manage to get in on Thursday morning to conduct a preliminary investigation into the attack, which took place in the pre-dawn hours on Tuesday and killed a number of children in their sleep.

U.N. Calls Israeli Attack on School "Outrageous"

The United Nations continued to rhetorically condemn Israel yesterday. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called an attack on a school, which held displaced Palestinians, “outrageous.”

“I condemn this attack in the strongest possible terms. It is outrageous. It is unjustifiable, and it demands accountability and justice,” Ban said, “Nothing is more shameful than attacking sleeping children.”

Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson mirrored Ban’s sentiment, adding, “This is a moment where you really have to say: ‘Enough is enough.’”

The United States also condemned the attacks. The spokeswoman for the U.S. National Security Council Bernadette Meehan highlighted a key issue.

“We are extremely concerned that thousands of internally displaced Palestinians who have been called on by the Israeli military to evacuate their homes are not safe in UN designated shelters in Gaza.”

Meehan went on to decry “those responsible for hiding weapons in United Nations facilities in Gaza,” presumably meaning Hamas.

In an interview with the BBC, Peter Lerner of the Israeli military was vague in his answers to questions. However, he did say, “We do not target UN facilities,” despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

This conflict has reached its 23rd day, making it the most drawn out Israel-Gaza conflict since Operation Summer Rains in 2006. However, only 409 people were killed on either side of that five-month conflict. Operation Protective Edge is already responsible for the death of over three times as many people. 

26 Palestinians Killed in Wednesday Afternoon Airstrikes; Including 17 Killed in Crowded Market

Throughout the day, on Wednesday, casualties have been pouring into hospitals in every part of Gaza, as medical facilities have had to turn to backup generators for power after Israel bombed the main power station on Tuesday. Among the dead are 17 people who were killed in an airstrike on a market in Shuja’iya. At least 129 Palestinians have been killed on Wednesday, and 400 wounded.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reports an additional twenty people killed, and many more injured, in Israeli airstrikes in Jabalia, in northern Gaza, and in Al-Buraij, in central Gaza. Most of those killed are still awaiting identification. One has been identified as:
Ismail Bassam al-Qassas, 23

In Khan Younis, a Palestinian died of wounds sustained in Israeli shelling earlier on Wednesday. He has been identified as:

Fayez Ahmed ' Omar Abu Olayan, 21.

This brings the total number of people killed on Wednesday to 129, with over 400 wounded.

In Kamal Adwan Hospital, in northern Gaza, doctors who have been struggling to deal with the dozens of wounded and 15 killed, earlier Wednesday, in a strike on a school serving as a shelter have also had to deal with an influx of dead and wounded being brought to the hospital from other strikes.

Israeli artillery bombardment of Gaza market kills 17, wounds 200

GAZA, (PIC)--

The Israeli occupation terrorist army unleashed its artillery fire at a crowded market in Shuja'iya suburb in Gaza City killing 17 citizens and wounding 200 others, many of them in critical conditions.

Eyewitnesses and medical sources said that the number of casualties was a preliminary one and that the number is expected to rise further.

They said that the shelling was deliberate as it recurred three times, adding that the market was overcrowded at the time of the incident.

The number of those killed at the hands of Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday those rose to 80 while scores others were wounded.

Israeli warplanes blast the Red Crescent building

Israeli warplanes shelled the main headquarters of the Palestinian Red Crescent (PRC) and its Quds Hospital west of Gaza Strip before noon Wednesday.

A field observer told Quds Press that Israeli warplanes blasted the upper floor of the PRC building and the hospital’s premises.

Israeli occupation forces had razed the PRC building in the 2008-2009 aggression, but it was rebuilt.

Death toll of Gaza civilians tops 1258 renewed Israeli genocide kills 6 children

GAZA, (PIC)--

A new massacre has hit the Gaza Strip Wednesday morning as six Palestinian children were killed while another sustained deadly wounds in a renewed wave of Israeli strikes east of Gaza City.

Palestinian sources told a PIC correspondent the six minors breathed their last after an Israeli F16 Fighting Falcon fired a rocket on a civilian home in Al-Tofah neighborhood, to the east of Gaza.

The casualties’ bodies were carried to Al-Shifa hospital cut into shreds. Another child was rushed to hospital after he sustained severe injuries.

Four more Palestinian civilians were murdered earlier in two Israeli strikes east of Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli fighter jets have been targeting civilian homes and communities with waves of random missiles, leading to the death of at least 1258 civilians so far.

Israel’s massacres continue on the 23rd day of its aggression

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) committed on Wednesday a new massacre south of the Gaza Strip after bombing a home. Five members of Al-Ghalban family were killed during the attack.

Eyewitnesses told Quds Press that Israeli F16 jets bombed Al-Ghalban family’s home in Khan Younis. Several casualties from the same family were reported.

Five members of the family reached Nasser hospital torn into pieces while others were critically injured.

In a similar attack, three people were killed while 20 others were injured after targeting Abu Hussein family’s home in Jabalia town.

Along the same line, four other Palestinians were killed when Israeli missiles hit a group of people in Khan Younis.

Six other bodies were pulled from the rubble after bombing Abu Amer family’s home. Palestinian civil defense is still looking for other casualties.

Another airstrike targeted a home in Gaza City belonging to Thuban family, killing one woman and injuring 12 people, while a man was killed in a similar attack.

As the Israeli aggression enters its 23td day, dozens of Palestinians were killed since the early morning hours during Israeli heavy shelling and bombing throughout the Strip, rising Gaza death toll to 1258 martyrs, in addition to around 7100 wounded.
