195 Palestinians Killed, 1385 Injured, Haniya and Shalla'h Condemn Israeli War-Crimes, Insist on Ending Siege of Gaza, July 15, 2014
Ismail Haniya Says Palestinian Resistance Is Writing History [ 15/07/2014 - 10:27 AM ] GAZA, (PIC)--
Ismail Haniya, deputy chairman of Hamas Political Bureau, said the Palestinian nation and resistance are today at a turning point in their fight against the Israeli occupation and have opened up new horizons before future Palestinian generations. Haniya declared in a speech delivered to the Palestinian people on Monday evening “Today we shall all stand up for our land, people, dignity and the future of our offspring.” “Today the Israeli occupation and the world have seen with their own eyes how far al-Qassam Brigades can go”, he added. Haniya said contacts and moves have been going on so as to bring the Israeli aggression against Palestinian civilians to a halt “Today the problem does not lie in the signing of truce agreement but in how far will the Israeli occupation be committed to it. Gaza has been paying a heavy price due to the siege which should be immediately lifted so as to allow our people to live in dignity”. "The blockade imposed on Gaza failed to destroy our will, failed to prevent resistance from getting all tools it needs to defend our people, land, and dignity,” he stated. “Our resistance has made proof of an unbreakable will, strength, and efficiency in the face of such aggressions.” “The power of our resistance is a source of energy to everybody in Palestine. We shall always draw our power from it to make our return and freedom dreams come true.” Haniya said the Israeli occupation has been dragging its feet vis-à-vis the previous calm agreement signed in Egypt in 2012. “Israel has not only kept Gaza under a heavy siege but also launched waves of air raids and attacks targeting our infrastructure, homes and civilians,” he explained. Haniya hailed the Palestinian masses saying they are a source of pride! “You’ve stood firm in every field and backed up your brothers and sisters throughout their fight for freedom… hats off for your patience, resilience, self-abnegation, and blood. Today you’re re-writing the history of an entire nation.” “We should all stand by our brothers and sisters in Gaza, Occupied Jerusalem, and the West Bank and defend our children and sanctities till our last breaths,” Haniya concluded. Shalla'h: Ceasefire deal must end Gaza siege [ 14/07/2014 - 03:55 PM ] DOHA, (PIC)--
The Secretary General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Ramadhan Abdullah Shalla'h, said on Sunday evening that Israeli occupation is unable to achieve any of its goals of its aggression on Gaza. In an interview with al-Jazeera TV, Shalla'h said that the current Israeli aggression exposed its intelligence and strategic failure. Israel is trying to export its internal crisis through its aggression on Gaza, he said. The calm for calm is no longer on our agenda, he said. The current battle would not end without Israel’s acquiescence to lifting the siege, opening border crossings, and acknowledging Palestinian right to respond to any future aggression, Shalla'h affirmed. He stressed the Palestinian resistance's steadfastness, coherence, and unity in defending the Palestinian people and Arab and Islamic nation as a whole. Unfortunately, there is no serious mediation up to this moment, the Jihad leader said, adding that the only mediator who can bridle the occupation (the USA) is itself involved in this aggression. Shalla'h stressed the importance of the Egyptian role that was the mediator of previous truce agreements. Shalla'h called on the Egyptian leadership to intervene and put an end to Palestinian people's suffering. He urged PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to stop security coordination with the occupier who carries out homicide in Gaza. He also called on Fat'h leadership to trigger a third intifada (uprising) in the West Bank. The senior Jihad leader said that there is a high-level military coordination between his movement and Hamas to confront the occupation and its aggression. Shalla'h stressed the importance of reconciliation agreement and national unity in order to foil Israeli schemes that aim to deepen the internal division. For his part, member of Hamas’ political bureau Mousa Abu Marzouk said that Israeli aggression aims to impose a status quo on the Palestinian people and force them to raise the white flag. “They want us to put down our arms and leave the resistance,” he said in reference to the ongoing truce efforts. They started the battle, and we will stay on our land and fight to protect our future.”
