Gaza death toll hits 166 as Israeli airstrikes continue to massacre civilians [ 13/07/2014 - 05:50 PM ] GAZA, (PIC)-- Two Palestinian citizens died Sunday of wounds they sustained in earlier Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, bringing the total number of Palestinian casualties to 166 so far. Spokesman for the health Ministry Ashraf al-Qudra identified the casualties as Hussein Abd al-Qader Muheissen, 19, and Haithem Ashraf Zu’reb, 21. According to a survey conducted by PIC reporters in Gaza, at least 166 citizens were killed so far while more than 1120 others sustained severe injuries. Dozens of civilians’ homes have been reduced to rubble all along the random Israeli raids. Death toll and the number of injured Palestinians have been dramatically on the rise ever since the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) initiated such a brutal military campaign against the Gaza Strip over the past seven days. The raids took away the lives of dozens of Gazan children, some of whom have been identified by PIC team as follows: one-and-a-half year old child Muhammad Malaka; 4-year-old Muhammad Khalaf al-Nawasra; Abdulah Ramadan Abu Ghazal, 5; Siraj Iyad Abd al-Al, 8, Basem Salem Kawara’a, 10; Meriam Atiya al-Arja,11: Muhammad Arif, 13; and Moussa Habib 16. PIC survey further kept record of a moment-by-moment account of Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip, most notably the round of airstrikes hitting Palestinian civilians’ homes on daily basis. Palestinian Health ministry: Israel uses internationally-banned weapons against Gazans [ 13/07/2014 - 02:48 PM ] GAZA, (PIC)-- The Palestinian health ministry said the Israeli army uses internationally-banned weapons in its military aggression against the population in the besieged Gaza Strip, urging all concerned organizations to visit the Strip and document Israel's war crimes. Deputy health minister Yousuf Abul-Rish told a news conference on Sunday that the medical staff in Gaza hospitals found deep lacerations in the bodies of victims that can only be caused by unconventional lethal weapons. Abul-Rish stated that Israel used warships, warplanes and artillery guns that are only used against other large armies to kill children, women and unarmed civilians in Gaza, which caused major physical disabilities to scores of victims. He stressed that the use of such banned weapons against humans is a flagrant violation of the international law, especially the fourth Geneva convention. For his part, Norwegian doctor Mads Gilbert said that he examined most of the bodies of the wounded and killed civilians who arrived at Al-Shifa hospital during the past few days and found out that they suffered very severe injuries resulting from conventional and unconventional lethal weapons. Gilbert noted that the injuries he had examined were caused by projectiles intended to inflict large physical damage to different areas of a human body. He added that he would start in the coming days to reexamine the bodies of victims to make a more accurate report about this matter. 10 mosques bombed during Israeli airstrikes on Gaza [ 13/07/2014 - 05:46 PM ] GAZA, (PIC)-- Israeli warplanes bombed Farouq mosque in Nuseirat camp in Gaza Strip before dawn prayers on Saturday, which led to its complete destruction in addition to significant damage to the neighboring homes. Few days ago, 4 Palestinians were killed and 5 others were injured in an Israeli airstrike on the martyr Anwar Aziz mosque in Jabaliya According to the Awqaf Ministry, at least 10 mosques were directly bombed during the past five days including two mosques in Khan Younis and two mosques in northern Gaza. On Friday, Israeli warplanes targeted Dar al-Salam mosque’s surrounding areas, which led to the killing of one citizen and the injury of eight others while on their way back home after performing Tarawih prayers. Three other Palestinians, including an elderly man, were killed while heading to Rahman mosque to perform Magrib prayers. In this regard, Undersecretary of Awqaf Ministry Dr. Hassan Sifi said that targeting mosques by Israeli warplanes exposed Israel’s spiteful, barbaric image. Everybody can see now the evidently racist essence of such Israeli terrorism against Gazan civilians, which comes out into view quite observably in the droves of jets, gunboats, and artillery rocking the Strip, he elaborated. “Israeli hatred culminated in the bombing of cemeteries, mosques and places of worship, most notably al-Farouq mosque in Nusairat and Anwar Aziz in the northern province”. He said that bombing places of worship is a flagrant violation of divine laws and international conventions. He held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the continuing crimes, calling for providing urgent protection for the Palestinian people and places of worship. Dozens of mosques were totally or partially destroyed during Israeli wars against Gaza in 2008 and 2012. Rehabilitation center demands prosecution of Israeli war criminals [ 13/07/2014 - 02:41 PM ] BEIT LAHIA, (PIC)-- Al-Salam rehabilitation center for disabled people has called for an investigation into the Israeli bombing of the headquarter of al-Mabra association, which took away the lives of two disabled persons. Al-Salam rehabilitation center called on all international human rights associations to immediately step in so as to stop Israeli arbitrary attacks targeting rehabilitation centers for disabled people, saying the attack has not been one of its kind as another strike rocked al-Basma rehab center in Beit Lahia. The center demanded the urgent prosecution of Israeli former crimes against Palestinians with special needs, which took away the lives of Palestinian child Kifah Ghanem, diagnosed with a hearing loss, and the visually-impaired-child Shahd al-Qarinawi. According to Muhammad al-Gharbi, al-Salam Center Chairman, Israel has been making proof of an unparalleled barbarism, manifest in the frequent violations of international laws and humanitarian decrees. He further drew attention to the need to appeal to international courts so as to take legal action against Israel as a war criminal targeting Palestinian disabled civilians and therapeutic centers, supposedly neutralized from any conflicts and wars. In an earlier incident, two Palestinian girls were killed at dawn Saturday while dozens have been left severely wounded in an Israeli airstrike on al-Mabara charity organization in Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip. All of the reported casualties were disabled persons. Mass protests all over the world against Gaza aggression [ 13/07/2014 - 02:23 PM ] BOGOTA, (PIC)--

The league also called for providing protection for the Palestinian people and stressed the resistance’s right to defend itself. In its turn, South Africa’s government condemned Israeli collective punishment policy against Palestinians including arrests. Gaza Municipality: Targeting Public Facilities a Willful Crime Sunday July 13, 2014 23:03 by Chris Carlson - 1 of International Middle East Media Center Editorial Group Gaza hospitals in crisis The Municipality of Gaza says that the Israel's targeting of its
facilities and staff is a willful crime. Gaza hospitals are straining
under the pressure inflicted by Israel's current string of assaults on
the Strip, and are in dire need of assistance and supplies. We have sustained high numbers of casualties – over 100 civilians dead, 150 homes destroyed sometimes with families still inside them, we are the victims. We are defending our civilians from a massacre," said Barhoum, early this afternoon, from outside Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.
