Two Palestinians Killed In Gaza, At Least Eight Injured

Palestinian medical sources in the Gaza Strip have reported on Monday, after midnight, that two Palestinians have been killed, and at least eight injured, including a medic, after the army repeatedly bombarded Gaza City.

The sources said the soldiers fired missiles into Yarmouk Street, in the center of Gaza City, killing two young Palestinian men, identified as Mohammad Mo’in Abu ‘Ajwa, and Hasan Omar as-Awwad.

Three Palestinians were injured and in the attack, and were moved to Shifa Medical Center.

The army also targeted the Italian Residential Compound in Gaza, at least five times, causing excessive property damage, while at least five Palestinians, including a medic, have been injured.

Several injuries have also been reported, as the army fired missiles into a farm in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Soldiers also fired missiles into an agricultural land, in Deir al-Balah, in Central Gaza.

In a report following the latest Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, the Ministry of Health in Gaza said, “By the 51st day of the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip, the number of slain Palestinians arrived to 2133, while 11100 Palestinians have been injured.”

It stated Since July 8:

- 2133 Palestinians killed since July 8, 11100 injured by Israeli missiles and shells.
- Number of children killed by Israeli missiles and shells is 577.
- Number of women killed is 263.
- Number of elderly killed in 102.
- Number of children injured is 3374.
- Number of women injured is 2088.
- Number of elderly injured is 410.
- Number of Palestinians killed since Israeli violated the truce last Tuesday is 108.

Israeli Airstrikes Continue All Day and Night Monday – At Least 9 Killed on Monday

An additional 4 casualties, including a journalist, killed on Monday evening brought the death toll from Israeli bombings to 9 on Monday. This follows a weekend of attacks on all parts of Gaza, in which 32 people were killed since Friday, including 3 young brothers and their sister and 5 other children under the age of 10.

On Monday evening, Journalist Abdullah Fadel Murtaja was killed by an Israeli airstrike in al-Shuja'iya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

Sa'ad Bassem al-Jour, 21, was killed in an airstrike that targeted his home east of Gaza City. A number of civilians, including women and children, were wounded, but emergency workers are still working to pull people from the rubble, so the exact number of wounded is not yet known.

Two men were killed in a car bombing on al-Sahaba street in Gaza City, and three bystanders were seriously wounded. One of those killed was Ahmad Taysir Fahmi al-Daali, age 28, who was initially taken to the hospital with critical injuries, but died while in surgery.

The other victim of that airstrike was identified as Bassem Hassan Hijazi, 36. There are reports that a third person was killed in the airstrike, but the third victim has not yet been identified.

At least 9 people total were killed on Monday, and Israeli airstrikes in all parts of Gaza are ongoing. Warplanes and drones continue to hover overhead at all hours of the day and night, and most people remain without electricity.

Families whose homes have been destroyed are crowded together with relatives, or are stuck in UN schools, and the school year which was scheduled to begin on Sunday, August 24th was unable to begin, as many schools are damaged and families are living in many of the other schools.

There have been 2,133 people killed by Israeli forces in Gaza since July 8th, and 10,980 wounded, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, which has documented each casualty and every person who came to one of Gaza’s hospitals with injuries.

Israeli air raids target tower buildings, schools in Gaza City

Israeli air raids at dawn Tuesday destroyed the tower buildings of Al-Basha and the Italian complex and caused severe damage to two schools in Gaza City.

Local sources told the Palestinian information center (PIC) that drones fired several destructive missiles at the tower buildings and razed them to the ground.

The aerial attack caused damage to nearby homes and structures.

The 15-story tower building of the Italian complex contained 100 apartments and dozens of commercial areas, and the other 12-story building contained dozens of apartments and media offices.

Medical sources said that 20 civilians, including paramedics and journalists, suffered injuries in the attack and were taken to Al-Shifa hospital.

To the east of Gaza City, Israeli warplanes bombed at dawn two public schools, with no reported casualties.

According to eyewitnesses, an Israeli warplane bombed Ali Ibn Abi Taleb school in Al-Zeitoun neighborhood and caused considerable damage to it.

Minutes earlier, Ma'een Besaiso school in Al-Shuja'eiya neighborhood also sustained severe damage in an airstrike.

The air raids caused damage to many homes near the two schools.

Several homes and apartment buildings as well as agricultural and empty lands were also targeted at dawn today by Israeli warplanes.

The successive aerial attacks on Gaza during the dawn of Tuesday claimed the lives of two civilians and rendered 25 others injured, according to the Palestinian health ministry.

 

Hamas: Israeli airstrikes on residential towers “crime against humanity”

Hamas Movements said that Israel should be held accountable for bombing residential towers in Gaza, which led to the displacement of dozens of families.

Spokesman for the Movement Sami Abu Zuhri charged in a statement at dawn Tuesday that targeting residential towers is a “crime against humanity”, holding the Israeli occupation authorities responsible for the displacement of civilians.

Israeli warplanes have targeted overnight the Italian Complex building in Nasr neighborhood western Gaza, while the 12-story Zafir residential tower, which contains 46 apartments, was totally destroyed three days ago.

On Monday evening, at least 27 Palestinians were injured when an Israeli missile hit a civilian home in Gaza City.

Local sources said that several homes and a mosque were totally destroyed when Israeli F-16 fighter jet targeted a civilian home in a very crowded residential area.

27 people were transferred to hospital after being injured during the attack, three of whom are in critical condition.

In a similar attack, one Palestinian was seriously injured when Israeli aircraft targeted a group of people in Shujaiya neighborhood.

A 5-story building was razed to the ground after being hit late Monday by Israeli warplanes, while a number of neighboring homes were significantly damaged. No injuries were reported during the airstrike.

Along the same line, an UNRWA school was hit in Jabaliya, to the north of the Strip. The school sheltered dozens of families. Four people were injured during the attack.

In the same context, a whole neighborhood that consists of 12 civilian homes was totally destroyed during a series of Israeli airstrikes on Sunday.

Nearly 20 missiles were fired at the neighborhood within two hours, which led to the displacement of dozens of people mostly children and women.

Neighboring agricultural lands were also targeted during the airstrikes, injuring at least ten people.
