This news story is just another piece of evidence about the Israeli paranoia, resulting from the continuous persecution of the Palestinian people.

Israeli aggressors are in constant fear of attacks by their Palestinian victims to the extent of killing people for mere saying the Arabic words of praising God, "Allahu Akbar."

This time, the victim is a Jewish man, who said these words, and who was killed for saying them, inside the sacred area of worship in Jerusalem!

A security guard shot and killed an Israeli man on Friday at a public restroom at Jerusalem’s Western Wall, one of Judaism’s holiest sites. He opened fire after hearing the man shout "Allahu Akbar," which are the Arabic words of praising God, "Allahu Akbar."

The guard said he fired his handgun because he thought the man was a Palestinian militant, Reuters quoted police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld as saying: "The fact he shouted "Allahu Akbar," that seems to be why the security guard drew his weapon and fired a number of shots at him."

(So, saying these two words is enough to kill a human being!)

The victim, who was Jewish and in his mid-40s, was treated for his injuries by paramedics but died from his wounds, the Jerusalem Post reported.

The victim of the shooting was a frequent visitor to the holy site, according to Israeli media.

Now, here's the Israeli justification of the killing, instead of admitting the disgraceful and intolerant way Israelis and their supporters think of Muslims:

 "Those who knew him said he was a ‘strange person,’ slightly disconnected from reality, who came to the Western Wall to rant about government policies. Lately, he claimed that he had converted to Islam, witnesses said."

The Arabic phrase "Allahu Akbar" – known as Takbir – is commonly used by Muslims in a variety of contexts, from formal prayer to casual expression of strong emotions like fear, surprise, triumph or defiance. The informal use may be compared to the Western phrase “Oh my God.”

The incident occurred as hundreds gathered for prayer in one of Jerusalem’s most sensitive areas. Al-Aqsa Mosque on top is the third holiest Islamic Shrine (after those in Makkah and Medina) and the the Western Wall, which is one of Judaism’s holiest sites, where thousands worship each week.

A security guard shot and killed a Jewish Israeli man on Friday at one of Judaism’s holiest sites in Jerusalem, the Western Wall, which was immediately shut to visitors, police said.

The guard opened fire after the man, in an adjacent restroom, was heard shouting “Allahu Akbar,” the Arabic for praising God, “God is greater (than anybody elese)”, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said.

Rosenfeld said the guard opened fire with his pistol because he suspected the man was a Palestinian militant. The victim turned out to be an Israeli Jew in his 40s.

“The fact he shouted Allahu Akbar, that seems to be why the security guard drew his weapon and fired a number of shots at him,” he said.

“We are looking into what (the dead man’s)... motives were,” Rosenfeld added.

(... motives of what? Saying God is greater than anybody else?).
