WEST BANK, (PIC)--

Different news reports said the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnapped at dawn Thursday during raids on homes about 18 Palestinian citizens in different West Bank areas.

Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth claimed that 17 Palestinians were detained and taken to interrogation centers.

The PIC correspondent said that the IOF kidnapped four Palestinians from Hamas Movement before midnight on Wednesday in Al-Khalil city.

The detainees spent some time either in Israeli or West Bank jails. Among them was 28-year old young man called Bara Al-Juneidi who was extremely sick when the IOF rounded him up from his home.

The IOF intensified their presence significantly on Wednesday evening throughout Al-Khalil city and its towns, according to eyewitnesses.

Other local sources from Al-Khalil city reported that five young men were kidnapped from their homes at an early hour Thursday. Most of the detainees are under age 22.

The IOF also erected barriers at the entrances to the towns of Idna and Fawwar and embarked on searching vehicles and checking IDs.

Other nine Palestinian young men were also kidnapped from their homes at dawn today in Burin town south of Nablus city.

IOF soldiers destroy Palestinian crops south of Al-Khalil

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)--

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) destroyed vast areas of Palestinian cultivated land lots south of Al-Khalil on Thursday.

Othman Jabarin, the coordinator of the popular committee in Janba to the south east of Yatta town, told Quds Press that IOF soldiers deployed in a large area of land and pitched tents to launch military exercises.

He said that the soldiers destroyed one thousand square dunum of land cultivated with wheat and barley.

Jabarin underlined that the IOF soldiers’ act inflicted heavy losses on farmers who were about to reap their crops.

Confrontations near Ofer jail

RAMALLAH, (PIC)--

Palestinian young men clashed with Israeli occupation forces (IOF) near the Ofer jail to the west of Ramallah on Thursday, local sources reported.

Eyewitnesses told the PIC that dozens of young activists and relatives of prisoners gathered near the Beitonia military roadblock and raised signs calling for releasing those prisoners and for responding to the prisoners’ demands after 24 days of hunger strike.

IOF soldiers in the area attacked some of the media teams and prevented citizens from reaching the barrier.

Illegal Israeli Jewish settler assault Jerusalemite

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)--

An illegal Jewish Israeli settler attacked and beat up a Palestinian Jerusalemite on Wednesday night claiming he tried to assault him.

Local sources said that the Jerusalemite suffered minor injuries in the assault in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem.

They said that Israeli occupation forces arrived to the scene and protected the settler without arresting or even questioning him about the attack.

Settlers Prevent Farmers from Reaching Their Land

The Palestinian News Network reported that a number of settlers prevented farmers in the town of Tekoa East south of Bethlehem from accessing their agricultural lands.

The General Director of the Tekoa Municipality, Tayseer Abu Mifrih, reported to WAFA Agency News that a group of settlers from the Tekoa settlement, built on Palestinian land in the Roman area, prevented the Palestinian owners of the land from reaching it for cultivation.

The land is next to the settlement and is planted with olive trees, wheat and barley He added that settlers’ attacks on the Palestinian people of the town have been going on for about a week.
