On October 05, 2011, at 3:00 in the afternoon the residents of Liberty Square will gather to join their union brothers and sisters in solidarity and march.
At 4:30 in the afternoon the 99% will march in solidarity with #occupywallstreet from Foley Square to the Financial District, where their pensions have disappeared to, where their health has disappeared to. Together we will protest this great injustice. We stand in solidarity with the honest workers of:

From California to New York, the tide of protest keeps rising

Inspired by the Tahrir Square protests in Egypt and the Spanish acampadas, Occupy Wall Street set up camp in the financial district of New York City on 17 September. Around 1,000 people gathered on the first day
What started last month with a lofty promise to "Occupy Wall Street" and a sit-in at a public park in Manhattan's financial district has spread into a national protest movement with miniature demonstrations popping up in cities from Los Angeles to Boston.
Organised on social networks such as Twitter, and galvanised by anger at the arrest of 700 protesters in New York at the weekend, activists are erecting tent cities and planning marches on banks, corporate headquarters and police stations across the US, in an effort that idealists among them hope might grow to upend politics.
The range of participants' complaints is as broad as the protest itself, and the absence of specific demands has prompted derision in some quarters, but the movement is coalescing around the view that the country's politics and its economy are skewed in favour of the moneyed elite.
As Occupy Wall Street has been joined by Occupy Philadelphia, Occupy Chicago and more than a dozen other copycats, the unifying mantra of the protesters has been that "we are the 99 per cent" ordinary Americans frozen out of the economic gains of the pre-recession era, disproportionately hurt by the downturn, and routinely ignored on political issues ranging from education to the environment to war.
"Our beautiful system of American checks and balances has been thoroughly trashed by the influence of banks and big finance that have made it impossible for the people to speak," Harvard University doctoral student Marisa Engerstrom told reporters as she took part with hundreds of others in a march on Boston's State House, calling for an end to corporate influence on government.
More than 1,000 people are now living under canvas in makeshift camps in major cities, and promising to stay through the winter. In New York's Zuccotti Park, a stone's throw from the statue of a bull which is the informal symbol of Wall Street, the protest camp is now 19 days old. Fuelled by donations of money and pizza from passers-by and from across the country, protesters have set up feeding stations and an elaborate system for developing the rules of the community.
It has become a gleeful celebration of the modern art of protest, with often humourous placards strewn around the site and, on one occasion, demonstrators dressed as zombies lurching across the road to picket the New York Stock Exchange. Music and drumming reverberate around the camp through the day, and the site has its own newspaper, The Occupied Wall Street Journal. There is the occasional drop-in by a left-wing celebrity, too. Participants use cameras and laptops to spread details of the protest on the internet.
For the first two weeks Occupy Wall Street's nebulous leadership expressed disappointment that the media was ignoring its protest, although editors said they gave it coverage proportionate to its size. Now, though, spirits have been lifted by a real sense of a movement developing. When protesters flooded on to New York's Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday, resulting in 700 arrests, the protests became national news.
In New Orleans, activists plan to march on the Federal Reserve. A camp sprang up in Los Angeles for the first time on Saturday and has been growing in size. In San Francisco, 200 supporters surrounded the Bank of America building in the city's financial district, and mayoral candidate John Avalos spoke to the crowd, saying: "This building right here is a symbol of the incredible greed and wealth that has accumulated into fewer and fewer hands."

End the fed and investigate all of its members, seize any and all assets gained from manipulating US Troops and resources to waging war for profits.
Remove all corporate board members from political or government office and remove any and all politicians working with corporate interests and putting profits over people.
Seize all foreclosed properties and distribute as affordable housing without interest of any kind.
create an actual federal government where we can put our money safe from the slimy fingers of greedy corporations.
Eliminate private health and other insurance companies and practices. You'll be surprised how affordable health care will be once we remove corporate profits and work directly with health care providers.
Unite with the people of nations across the globe to reclaim the earth's natural resources and take them away from private enterprise. Nationalize and globalize energy resource while moving toward smarter technology.

Great video and I feel so proud of this!! but why is the music resemble late 60s early 70s rock (hendrix like guitar playing)? Its 2011 and this is our generation. Please don't make this something that reflects another time period. In addition, I'd hate for viewers to ignorantly stereotype the people directly involved in this movement who currently welcomes people of all genders, race, age, political views, beliefs, religion, careers, etc. I personally don't believe this, but I can already hear the thoughts of people who hear the music in this video saying "Looks like some hippie, liberal movement" and its not! (Nothing wrong with either, I consider myself the latter). No offense to the band either. Please consider a different sound/image that reflects all of the people who feel the grief that we are currently feeling in this country. Love you :)

My coworker is saying that Rush Limbaugh read a list of demands off of the OccupyWallStreet site, including the forgiving of all debts. I can't find anything like this. Is there anything here or on some loosely affiliated site that could be the basis of this? As of yet I wasn't aware that any unifying principles/demands had emerged.

Yeah, some moron posted a list of ridiculous demands in the forum which i cannot find anymore. The list was absurd and in my opinion and would do more to push people away from this movement than help it to gain support.

Guys, do You really think that this is "fight" for something ? Do You think it is possible to win a card sharper playing by his rules ? From videos on this site I get an impression that people were standing, posinig in front of cameras and waiting for being arrested. Nobody will pay any attention to your demands unless You hamper their corrupt businesses.
We, people of other countries, do support your movement, but we see that You americans even have no idea how to demand something from authorities. Take lessons from mass protests in other countries.

Apparently i am the only one who thinks this move on the bridge was a mistake? I guess yall had it planned, then getting arrested was also planned. then stop fcking whyning. Without any explanation of why you want to block the bridge, to me it is a stupid move. Your marches lack coordination if people didnt know they were getting arrested for this. Or you are purpously engaging with the policeforce and acting all innocent on camera. Thats mediamanipulation. Thats a bad start for the movement that wants to make the world a more honest place. I was at the march on the Brooklyn Bridge. Before the arrests started, at least from my end, the police allowed people to leave without being arrested. I and a bunch of other people left and were not arrested, even though we were on the roadway. Those who stayed chose to be arrested; they could have left. Let's be clear with our facts.

This is not true, I was near the front and as the arrests continued I was closer to the front until I was at the front and taken as well. There was nowhere to go from there except into the hands of the police.
