Israeli Occupation Army Starts Wall Construction Around Palestinian Town North of Jerusalem

Local sources reported that the Israeli occupation army started the construction of a segment of the illegal Israeli Annexation Wall, around Qalandia Palestinian town, north of occupied East Jerusalem.

The sources said that several army bulldozers supported by armored military jeeps invaded the area and started leveling Palestinian lands to prepare them for Wall construction.

The Annexation wall will eventually divide Qalandia into two sectors while isolating dozens of Dunams of Palestinian farmlands as they will be on “the Israeli side” of the Wall.

There are at least 1100 Palestinians living in Qalandia and they fear that they will eventually be living in a ghetto, isolated from the rest of the West Bank.

The wall devastates the educational, social and economic lives of the residents and also denies them access to medical facilities in Jerusalem and the West Bank.

Several Palestinians villages in the West Bank became totally surrounded by the Wall, while the soldiers open or close Wall gate whenever they want.

In mid-2004, the International Court at the Hague issued an advisory dubbing the Annexation Wall as illegal as it is mainly built deep into the occupied territories, and not on the border line between the Palestinians areas and Israel, and isolates dozens of villages in addition to isolating thousands of farmers from their lands.

Israeli Occupation Army Invades A Village Near Jericho

Israeli occupation soldiers invaded on Monday the Fasayel village, north of the West Bank city of Jericho, broke into a home and installed a roadblock.

Local sources reported that the army violently broke into a home in the village causing damage, while the soldiers interrogated the residents.

Troops also installed a roadblock at the southern entrance of Jericho, stopped dozens of vehicles and interrogated several residents while checking their ID cards.

The army claimed that it is searching for farm tractors “illegally” own by several residents.

In related news, a group of illegal fundamentalist Israeli settlers closed Road #60, near Fasayel village, and placed rocks in the street.

The army was present in the area but did not attempt to remove the settlers.
A settler group said that the settlers were marking the anniversary of a Jewish settler who was killed in the area.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Kidnap Four Palestinians In the West Bank

Israeli occupation soldiers kidnapped, on Monday at dawn, four Palestinians during a number of invasions and attacks targeting several areas in the occupied West Bank.

The Israeli occupation army broke into several homes forcing the residents, including children, out of their homes for several hours while the soldiers violently searched the properties causing damage.

Local sources reported that kidnapped Assy Martin Qassis at the Etzion military and security base, south of Bethlehem, as he headed there after receiving a military order in this regard.

Later on, soldiers invaded Qassis’s city, Beit Sahour, and kidnapped Martin’s wife and his mother, the Palestine Information Center reported.

Furthermore, troops kidnapped a 16-year-old child identified as Abdul-Hami Ismail Jaafra, from Tarqoumia town, near the southern West Bank city of Hebron.

Soldiers also invaded Hebron and searched several neighborhoods before handing a resident, identified as Sufian Arafa, a military order to head to the nearest security base for questioning.

Later on, troops invaded the Hebron areas of Al-Reehiyya, Doura and Al-Fawwar refugee camp, held and interrogated several residents.

Israeli Occupation Army Invades Jenin

Israeli occupation soldiers invaded on Monday afternoon the southern area of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and surrounded the Jenin branch of the Al-Quds Open University.

Eyewitnesses reported that several armored military vehicles invaded the Bir Jamal area and sealed several roads leading to the university.

The soldiers stopped several residents and checked their identity cards in a provocative way, the sources said.

Furthermore, soldiers installed a roadblock in Al-Suwaitat area on the main road that leads to Palestinian villages west of Jenin.

Troops stopped dozens of vehicles and searched them while interrogating the residents and checking their identity cards.

Earlier on Monday, Israeli soldiers kidnapped four Palestinians in different parts of the West Bank , and took them to unknown destinations.
