Israeli Occupation Army Razes Tana School in Hebron

The Israeli occupation army bulldozed Tana village early on Wednesday near the city of Hebron, Press TV reported.

Israeli bulldozers entered the village of Tana, leveling a school and forcing dozens of families living in tents to evacuate the structures.

A Red Cross building, which reportedly served the impoverished residents of the village, was also severely damaged in the bulldozing, witnesses said.

The Palestinian Authority did not condemn the demolitions. Israeli authorities commented that the structures had been built without the needed permits.

Based on figures revealed by the Israeli NGO Bimkom, almost 95% of applications filed by Palestinians for construction permits are rejected. Bimkom also noted that Israel's Civil Administration only grants around 12 permits per year.

Palestinians point out that Israel's ongoing demolition plans undermine their efforts to create a free and independent Palestinian state.

According to the Palestinian Information Center, since the start of 2000, 995 Palestinian homes have been demolished in occupied Jerusalem making 5,783 people displaced, including 3,109 children.

IOF kidnap 9 Palestinians in W. Bank

WEST BANK, (PIC)--

The Hebrew radio said that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnapped at dawn Thursday nine Palestinian citizens from different West Bank areas at the pretext they were wanted.

The radio added that the IOF kidnapped the nine young men at dawn during raids on homes in Bethlehem city, Dora town south of Al-Khalil city and villages south and west of Ramallah city.

For their part, Palestinian local sources stated that a large force of Israeli troops stormed at an early hour today different West Bank towns and villages causing panic among children and women and forcing them out of their homes before detaining a number citizens.

In a separate incident, the IOF kidnapped in the early morning hours of Wednesday seven Palestinian citizens from their homes in the cities of Tulkarem and Nablus.

Among the detainees was a 15-year old child called Ahmed Annatsheh, a student in eight grade, who was severely beaten by Israeli troops before he was taken to Etzion detention center.

The IOF yesterday also kidnapped two Palestinian citizens thought to be affiliated with Hamas in Nur Sams refugee camp near Tulkarem city only two days after an Israeli court ordered their release from Israeli jails.

PFLP Member Kidnapped in Raid Near Nablus

Israeli occupation forces kidnapped a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in a raid, on Wednesday, Ma’an News sources claimed.

Local witnesses said that Israeli military arrested a PFLP member, known as Hakim Abed al-Baset Hanani, in Beit Furik, east of the city of Nablus.

Soldiers allegedly arrested Hanini after invading and searching his house at 2 a.m.
