Rick Sanchez Fired from CNN for Suggesting US Media Run by Zionists, Joins Octavia Nassr Comment on the news: By Hassan El-Najjar Al-Jazeerah, CCUN, October 2, 2010
In July, Octavia Nassr was fired from CNN for expressing respect to a Lebanese cleric after his death. Yesterday, Ricks Sanchez was fired for remarking that the US media is run by Jews. It is this remark which got him fired, not his attack on John Stewart. Make no mistake about it. The two incidents demonstrate that CNN has zero tolerance towards any hints of independence of its employees from the despotic Zionist control of US media. The objective of that control is maintaining continuous support for the Israeli occupation government blindly as well as indoctrination of the US population towards acceptance of permanent US wars for Israel in the Middle East. Any hint of looking at Arabs and Muslims as human beings, like the case of expressing respect to Fadlallah by Octavia Nassr, is not tolerated, even if it is done outside the employee's work. This is part of the dehumanization process, which makes people numb towards the horrendous human cost of the NATO wars in the Middle East for Israel, particularly the millions who were killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the millions who may be killed as a result of the coming war on Iran. Octavia Nassr and Rick Sanchez are not the only journalists who have been punished as swiftly by the Zionists controlling US media. Pat Buchanan, Thilo Sarrazin, and Helen Thomas angered the Zionist supremacists before. Somebody has to assemble a list of journalist who were fired by Zionists for their courageous criticism of the Israeli occupation government and its supporters. ==================== Here's the audio part about Jews in control of CNN: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFwDdsYOrt8 Here's one about him daring to think about Israel independently, not blindly as the rest of the media employees. He demonstrated that the Israeli occupation forces was the one who broke the cease fire, leading to the Israeli brutal war on Gaza in December 2008-January 2009. He even brought a Palestinian, Mustafa Al-Barghouthi on the Show, then argued with a CNN Israel-Firster about it. It's amazing that he kept his job after that. Sanchez made his remarks Thursday on the Sirius XM radio show "Stand Up! with Pete Dominick". CNN acted within 24 hours and declared Sanchez was no longer with the network. "We thank Rick for his years of service and we wish him well," according to its statement. The Daily Show retaliated and considered Sanchez an intellectual lightweight compared to CNN stars Anderson Cooper and Wolf Blizter and made him the butt of jokes, which Sanchez resented and described as racist. In July, CNN fired veteran Middle East correspondent Octavia Nassr after she tweeted about the passing of Hezbollah's Mohamed Fadlallah saying that she respected him a lot. CNN’s Rick Sanchez fired after calling Jon Stewart a bigot By Melissa Maerz / Los Angeles Times Saturday, October 2, 2010 - NEW YORK — CNN fired newscaster Rick Sanchez on Friday, a day after he called "The Daily Show’s" Jon Stewart a "bigot" and suggested Jews run CNN and "all the other" networks. The host of "Rick’s List" made the comments Thursday during an interview on the satellite radio show "Stand Up! With Pete Dominick," where Sanchez complained that Stewart was prejudiced against those who disagree with his "white liberal establishment point of view" and scoffed at the idea that Jews were "an oppressed minority." "We thank Rick for his years of service," CNN said in a statement Friday. "And we wish him well." CNN representatives declined to comment further. This isn’t the first time in Sanchez’s four years at CNN that his comments have led to controversy or provoked mocking. He once called President Barack Obama a "cotton-picking president," attributed unconfirmed quotes to Rush Limbaugh and misidentified the Galapagos Islands as Hawaii. The remarks came as Sanchez, who is Cuban American, was explaining how racism and prejudice had stunted his career. He said that a CNN executive once compared him to John Quinones of ABC’s "Primetime." "In his mind, I can’t be an anchor," Sanchez told Dominick. "An anchor is what you give to high-profile white guys." Sanchez said the story illustrates that racism exists "not just (from) the right," but also from "elite, Northeast establishment liberals" who condescend to him because he’s Latino. "Deep down, when they look at a guy like me," continued Sanchez, "they see a guy automatically who belongs in the second tier and not the top tier." After being challenged by the radio host, Sanchez later backed off his use of the word "bigot," and said Stewart was "prejudiced." Sanchez said he was upset over Stewart’s frequent personal attacks on "The Daily Show," noting that once the Comedy Central host called him "a total meathead." CNN has not yet named a replacement for Sanchez. The network says it will broadcast "CNN Newsroom" from 3 to 5 p.m. in the place of Sanchez’s show "for the foreseeable future." ___ CNN fires Rick Sanchez after Jon Stewart remark The Associated Press Published: Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 7:43 a.m. Last Modified: Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 7:43 a.m. ATLANTA - CNN fired news anchor Rick Sanchez on Friday, a day after he called Jon Stewart a bigot in a radio show interview where he also questioned whether Jews should be considered a minority. Sanchez, who was born in Cuba and had worked at CNN since 2004, was host of the two-hour "Rick's List" on CNN's afternoon lineup. He did a prime-time version of that show in recent months, but that ended this week because the time slot is being filled by a new show featuring former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer and columnist Kathleen Parker. Stewart had frequently poked fun of Sanchez on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," most recently for saying on the air that his show had received a tweet from House Republican leader John Boehner. Stewart called it a case of "send a twit a tweet." "He's upset that someone of my ilk is almost at his level," Sanchez said during a satellite radio interview with Pete Dominick. Details of the interview were posted on the Mediaite website Friday and quickly became a topic of conversation in the media world. Sanchez said that Stewart is bigoted toward "everybody else that's not like him." He said Stewart "can't relate to what I grew up with," saying his family had been poor and he had seen prejudice directed at his father. Sanchez dismisses it when Dominick points out that Stewart, who is Jewish, is also a minority. "I'm telling you that everyone who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart, and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart, and to imply that somehow they, the people in this country who are Jewish, are an oppressed minority?" Sanchez said, adding a sarcastic "yeah."
