Palestinians Perplexed by the Contradiction Between Obama's Openness for Change and Clinton's Zionist Hard Line

During a Congressional hearing session few days ago, the US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, expressed opposition to any Palestinian national unity government until Hamas recognizes Israel.

This means that Clinton wants to keep the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and Gaza separated, and Gaza to continue under permanent siege, exactly as the Israeli occupation government wants them to be.

This is, also, an Israeli condition since Hamas won parliamentary elections in 2006.

The problem with this Israeli condition is that it requires Palestinians to recognize the Israeli theft of their homeland before a peace agreement is reached.

Moreover, recognition is supposed to be mutual. Israel has never recognized the right of the Palestinian people to have their own state, on recognized borders.

Before peace is reached, there are no recognized borders between Israel and Palestine. So, which Israel Hillary Clinton and her advisors want Palestinians to recognize?

Is it the one created by the 1947 UN Partition Resolution 181, or maybe the one resulting from the 1948 war of Nakba in which Israelis annexed much of the Arab State of Palestine, according to the Partition resolution?

Is it Israel with the 1967 borders but with the illegal settlements in the West Bank? Or without them?

If the Obama administration is serious about changing the US foreign policy generally, and in the Middle East in particular, Hillary Clinton and her advisors should stop following the Israeli policies blindly.

The US should have its own foreign policy, enough of following Israeli expansionist policies which brought multiple military, diplomatic, and financial disasters to the United States.

The invasion of Iraq was planned and executed under the command and control of Zionist Israel-Firsters, such as Wolfowitz, Pearle, and Feith.

Zionist Israel-firsters have recently prevented the appointment of Charles Freeman in order to keep their control over US intelligence agencies.

They are still beating the drums for war on Iran.

The Israeli terrorist war on Gaza was fought with US money and weapons, particularly jet fighters, white phosphorus and DIME bombs, which killed Palestinian children, seen live on TV screens all over the world.

Enough US wars for Israel !

For the sake of justice and peace in the world,

For the sake of justice for the victims of the brutal Zionist war criminals,

For the sake of improving the US image in the world and changing it from a supporter of Israeli aggression and savagery to an honest peace broker,

Hillary Clinton and other US officials, stop speaking and behaving as if you are little employees in the Israeli foreign ministry!

If you have the guts, announce that the US is not going to deal with the Israeli government until it accepts the US-backed two state solution! or until it stops illegal settlement activities !

Are you going to do that?

I'm not holding my breath in waiting!

Hamdan: Clinton's remarks stem from the fear of the Zionist lobby

Osama Hamdan, the Hamas representative in Lebanon, said Wednesday that US foreign minister Hillary Clinton's remarks about her administration's refusal to deal with any Palestinian government that includes Hamas stem from the American fear of the Zionist lobby and the ignorance about the Palestinian reality.

In a televised statement to Al-Jazeera satellite channel, Hamdan considered that Clinton's remarks revealed a striking contradiction in the American administration's policy towards the region the thing which is detrimental to its reputation in the Middle East.

The Hamas official pointed to the speech addressed to the British House of Commons by Khaled Mishaal, the head of the Hamas political bureau, saying that the video conferencing indicated that there is a big European willingness to listen to Hamas and assess its position despite the attempt by some Palestinian and Arab parties to affect this European tendency.

For his part, Dr. Yahya Mousa, a member of the Hamas parliamentary bloc, stated, in response to Clinton's remarks, that the American administration is not eligible to be an unbiased party in the region or to sponsor a peace agreement between the Palestinians and Israelis.

In a press release received by the PIC, Dr. Mousa highlighted that Hamas refuses to recognize the Israeli occupation, saying such recognition would be a serious breach of the Palestinian constants.

The Hamas lawmaker stressed the need for making a unified strong Arab position in support of the Palestinian people rather than the policy of begging and pleading at the threshold of the White House, adding the force is the only thing respected by the US.

He noted that the American administration started to pursue a new policy towards Iran and Latin America because these countries expressed strong positions against the US, saying that the Arabs should understand this lesson well.
