Atlanta Forum on Religion in the 2004 Elections
Religion has already played a larger role earlier in
the 2004
presidential elections than anyone, including us, might
have foreseen.
Yet none of us are surprised that religion is a major
subject for
discussion in an election year.
Join The Interfaith Alliance Foundation,
Interfaith Alliance of Georgia
and The Greater Atlanta Interfaith Alliance on
September 8th for an
exciting forum where major national thought leaders
will explore the
dynamics involved in the early and impassioned interest
in religion in
the presidential primary season. We will also discuss
"what does all
this mean" for the 2004 general election.
Panelists have an exceptional understanding of the
importance of faith
in personal life and how faith can be used during the
political season.
More details to come soon.

The Interfaith Alliance and The Interfaith
Alliance Foundation are
national organizations with 150,000 members drawn from
70 different
religious traditions and 47 local Alliances across the
country. Our
mission focuses on the intersection of religion and
politics. Working
to see that religion plays a positive and healing role
in the life of
the nation, we challenge those who would manipulate
religion for
partisan political gain or manipulate politics for
sectarian gain.
The Interfaith Alliance and The Interfaith Alliance
Foundation's
election year program, One Nation, Many Faiths. Vote
2004 helps
candidates, voters, faith leaders, Houses of worship
and the media
navigate the sometimes treacherous waters at the
intersection of
religion and politics. The program also activates our
150,000 members
drawn from 70 faith traditions and 47 local Alliances
to lead public
debates on religious liberty and to cast informed votes
on Election Day.

Religion is part of ordinary life: the workplace, the
worlds of friendly
interaction, the mall, the academy, the media, the
gallery. But it takes
on special importance in the political realm. -- Martin
